If you're a self-healing class, Hakkar is actually easier to solo. His big trick is mind control, at which point you are likely to kill your own ally. As a ret paladin I routinely solo him and between divine shield and incidental healing from divine storm and judgement, my health never drops below 90%.

Been farming Z-G for ages, and still no tiger...and my guildy gets one on his first visit, while not even looking for it. Sigh.
