Ikarus, there's something you need to understand about WoW PvP: everyone is overpowered, therefore no one is. Ret pallies have served to be no more difficult than other classes for my frost mage throughout Wrath; it all depends on how well you play your favorite OP class. Ret pallies just *seemed* the most OP because it really isn't hard to figure out how to play one well (just click whatever comes off cooldown and use your procs). Most classes aren't so simple, but when played right, are just as OP.
