MMO-C is not Blizzard. That date is just a guess, the 2nd or 3rd one they've made. Until Blizzard makes it official, the release date is considered unknown.

Boubouille's post is that it's based on a date found in some text datamined from a build. The problem with that, of course, is that the date in the bit of text might change in a future build.Okay, the build he has right now says Dec 14th for arena season 9 to start. But the build he get's next week might say Nov. 30 or Jan 11, or any other date.I'm really surprised that Boubouille is posting this as fact and without a lot of caveats because he knows better than anyone that anything datamined from beta/ptr build is subject to change without notice.

I think it'd be hilarious if the Blizzard devs are sticking little things like this just to mess with the dataminers. "Hey, guys, MMO Champion found the December 14th line! Time to push out a new build that changes the date to January!"Hey, it's what I would do. Personally I'm waiting for the official announcement, and will give credit to MMO Champ for getting it right if it's Dec. 7. Still gonna wait for Blizzard to announce the date, though.
