You keep saying mana won't be an issue, but you never say why. I would think that mana issues will be worse, rather than better, than they would be at 85. Please explain empirically why this isn't the case.

"You got most of it; the patch before an expansion is like playing with all the cheat codes turned on." This is the reason. It was the same way in BC just before Wrath hit. You get all the new power of the pending expansion while still working in the previous one.

I might have said why in a previous article, I'm sorry if I didn't rehash it this time around. Anyway, the reason mana is not a problem is that the stat system is changing, and thus mana pools are going way way up. But while that is happening, the mana cost of level 80 spells is not. So... double the mana before, no change in price, so no mana problems. This is temporary though; as soon as you hit level 81 things will start to transition to the way they are at level 85
