The Queue: The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice!

Dogs and cat-bat-scorpions living together! Mass hysteria!
Bobury asked:
When Deathwing comes, where does he come from and which places does he hit first?
Deathwing emerges from Deepholm, breaking the "ceiling" of the elemental plane of earth and coming out in the center of the dimensionally weak Maelstrom. We know he visits several places afterward, including Mount Hyjal, Badlands, Stormwind and Orgrimmar.
Flint asked:
Has there been any word on if archaeology is something you can start from scratch in the new 80+ areas, or do you have to go grind "archeology nodes" for hundreds of skillpoints in the 1-80 content before you can start excavating in the new zones?
Archaeology looks at your character level and your skill level when determining where you can dig. What this means is that you won't have to go to high-level zones to dig when you're low level, but you will need to visit lowbie zones if you're level 80+. It's worth noting that even when your skill level is high enough to get stuff from nerubian, vrykul and tol'vir dig sites, you'll still get dig sites popping up in old-world zones for other races. That's just how the profession works.
Suh8lim3 asked:
Any word yet on what the troll and worgen druid travel and flight forms will look like?
At this point? Probably the same as the travel and flight forms for other druids in their respective factions.
Greg asked:
Apologies if this has already been answered, I don't think it has. Any word on what the login screen for Cataclysm will be?
Yes! Dataminers have actually uncovered files relating to the login screen. Commenters were able to provide a link to the work-in-progress, which is here.

Maybe the Republicans are right about the public school system.

Can we get a picture of said possible "login screen?"
Drakkenfyre Oct 3rd 2010 12:39PM
I got to disagree with the login screen. Unless they changed it, the login screen was already in game, semi-untextured. It had the name like "cataclysm_new_login". Someone found a more complete version, and got their character on the map in map viewer.
I will have to find the link, but it was a portal.
They may have changed their minds, in fact I hope they did. I didn't particularly care for that one.

That gives a good idea of what the login will be.
Just as long as there's no roaring, everything will be a-o good.

That's it. I was looking for the other thread I found which had it by itself, and someone linked a pic of their character standing at it.
The one with the character was finished, it had all textures, but the background wasn't done.

Personally, I'd like to see a selection of login screens, either randomly chosen or one you can pick to always display:
•Maelstrom, with the shark randomly showing up. Lightning, wind, waves, etc.
•Grim Batol, with Deathwing flying over at random. No loud roars, though. Thats annoying.
•Deepholme, Temple of Earth. View of the temple from the outside, or damaged world pillar.
•Twilight Highlands, portal as shown in some screenshots. Twilight drakes or Deathwing in the sky.
•Gilneas, city. View of the central spire in Gilneas, with a view of the flag but also showing the city. Birds flying around, the ever-present rain, and perhaps a druid in flight form at random.
•Kezan, beachfront. View of the town looking from the beach, with goblins passing by and the occasional car.
I think I was spoiled by Half-Life 2's menus :)

brian, no, what we are saying is that a login screen is already in the files, but not finished. It isn't the picture we have all seen. It's a portal. The name of the file is "cataclysm_new_login" or something.
Unless they have changed their mind, that will be the login. I hope they did, like I said above, I didn't particularly care for it.

Please, dear lord Jeebus, not another login dragon.

Any word yet on what the Troll and Worgen Moonkin forms will look like?
xvkarbear Oct 3rd 2010 12:19PM
they look like this:

glyakk Oct 3rd 2010 12:40PM
Actually in beta, Troll and Worgen are both using the Night Elf forms for both Epic flying and moonkin. So the only one that uses the tauren skins is... well the tauren.
abartusek1996 Oct 3rd 2010 12:10PM
I hope the flight form for Trolls will have a Mohawk :D
Starraven Oct 3rd 2010 12:28PM
Right now the troll flight form reminds me of the nightelf flight form. I haven't messed with the worgen Druids on the beta yet, but for the few hours I played a troll Druid that is what I saw. ( a few hours on a troll felt like forever for me, I still can't get past the tusks on the new shapes, but that's just me.)
Xirifus Oct 3rd 2010 12:59PM
I, on the other hand, hope, that they would finally add unique NORMAL (as in slower) flight form models... I hate having nelf ears even though Im tauren....
Larka Oct 3rd 2010 1:57PM
why blizzard why can't you let us have customization options and let the people choose! FREEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Shadowwind Oct 3rd 2010 3:22PM
I'm holding out for the troll flight form being a bat, personally. Might even happen. If you do the Echo Isles event where you actually go over and fight Zalazane, there's a part where he vanishes and Zen'tabra (the troll druid) changes into flight form to go hunt for him. What happens to be her flight form? A bat!
Ysonia Oct 3rd 2010 7:25PM
In the questline for taking back the Echo Isles, I noticed that the troll druid turned into a bat and flew. That would be a cool flight form for trolls, IMO.
