Unless you are pulling a ton of mobs and solo'ing 3 elites at a time, I don't see how the changes would affect your ability to solo while leveling. The reduced crit chance by 4% is enough to make your pet crit-immune to almost everything except raid bosses, and the idea is that BM pets do more damage, which means more threat, which means the hunter can continue to damage hard without stopping as much for threat.

I would expect BM to continue to be the #1 soloing/PvE spec in a non-extreme way. That's just my opinion, of course, would like to see Frost's viewpoint on it.
