With the new Battle.net system and the ability to buy games from there directly, did Blizzard say anything official about being able to buy Cataclysm digitally on Day 0?

According to the press release from earlier today, yes, you will be able to buy the game digitally from the Blizzard store. The Collector's Edition is exclusive to physical stores, but you can by the standard edition of the game via Battle.net.

Fun fact: This edition of The Queue was written before that press release, so I had to rewrite my answer to this question in a hurry. If you're curious what my answer was originally, it was, "Blizzard hasn't said anything official but it will probably allow release day digital purchases," based on how Blizzard handled the StarCraft 2 release.

That depends on the time of day. I actually don't like waffles for breakfast. Weird, I know! I like to put savory things on my waffles, and I don't like savory things for breakfast. If I'm going to eat breakfast, I'm all about the sweet. Breakfast is pancakes with maple syrup. Or potato pancakes with sugar. Waffles, for me, are a lunch or dinner thing.

Did we really kill Malygos?

Yes. We killed Malygos. He is as dead as a really dead thing. In fact, there are quests about it in Cataclysm. I can't speak from firsthand experience due to not having leveled a Horde character in the appropriate zones in the beta, but the Horde has a series of quests discussing the leadership of the Blue Dragonflight post-Malygos. Kalecgos and Azuregos are both involved. Maybe one of our wonderful Horde readers can give you a summary in the comments. You can do that, right, guys?

Where is the best place to pre-order Cataclysm? I haven't pre-ordered the last two, but I'm excited for this one, so I was just wondering if there is a place most people get it from.

If you're looking for the midnight celebration atmosphere, you'll want to order from Gamestop. Even if there aren't major parties at the midnight release, you'll get some fun camaraderie standing outside in the dead of night with a bunch of fellow gamers. If you're not interested in that, you can either drive out to any old Walmart after midnight and you should have no problem just picking a copy up off the shelf.

If you don't even leave your house, you could always pre-order from Amazon and it should arrive at your doorstep bright and early on release day. I have no had good experiences with that, however. None of my release-day deliveries arrive on release day. The most recent one was StarCraft 2, which Amazon informed me the very night before release that it wouldn't arrive until two days after release. That being said, the majority of Amazon users don't seem to have that problem. It's possible I am just hellaciously unlucky.

Personally, I always go Gamestop and I always order a pizza to share with people at midnight releases I attend. Fresh, warm pizza to share with like-minded nerds on a cold winter night in Wisconsin? Bliss. This year I might try to convince the pizza place to make a Horde symbol with the pepperoni.
