My first blizzcon! I can't wait!
anyeight Oct 5th 2010 10:20PM
Congrats. Bring your camera and be prepared to take lots of photos. Be sure to pick up your grab bag between 9:30-9:45PM. That will avoid most of the crowd. Last year, the line to get in started at 8AM. If you showed up 9:30AM, the line literally went around the convention center and into the rear parking lot. Took me over an hour just to get in (learned my lesson there).
And be sure to look up an In-an-Out burger (if you're not on the west coast). Mmm, In-and-Out Burger.

Grats! Hope you have an awesome time.
Also, anyeight, I just have to say thanks for giving that advice; I'm sure anyone who's going will appreciate it.
And yes, if you don't know In-n-Out Burger, do yourself a favor and find one. Gooooood stuff. ^_^

Don't worry about bag and badge pickup if you get there on Thursday, plenty of time then. As for the actual convention days, after everyone gets inside in the morning, getting in and out of the convention hall is easy.
Day 1 line to get in:

From the front of the convention center, North through the plaza between the Hilton and convention center, down the street behind the convention center, and snaked into the convention center's back parking lot. This is where you have to be ready at 8am.

@Azbulldog is there a certain time on Thursday? My first BlizzCon as well! cant wait
Azbulldog Oct 6th 2010 4:13AM
The email says Thursday at 4pm to 10pm. Last year there was a line forming in the plaza beside the convention center, and it moved inside once they opened Hall E for pickup. There's plenty of space inside Hall E for everyone to condense into once it opens, and they had a few snack stands throughout the line last year. I imagine anytime before 10pm it won't be very busy and leaves out the stress of waiting for pickup the following days.

I Know this means Tickets going in person are done. But if someone has not yet ordered their ticket to watch online via streaming... is someone still able to purchase lets say tomorrow a ticket solely to view via streaming. Reply would be great :)

Yaa finally! Does anyone else feel like BlizzCon just didn't happen this year? I'm too used to August feels like it already past and I'm like "wutwhoa BlizzCon, this year?"
Xelloss Oct 5th 2010 11:01PM
I got mine, check your SPAM folder in Gmail mine was in there, cause of all the phising Blizzard emails you usually get.
espercrusader Oct 6th 2010 7:15AM
Yes, be sure to check your spam folder. I found my invite right at the top.

You would think that with Blizzard always warning about emails being spoofed as from them that they would send this email from an actual blizzard.com email address.. but no.. they don't.
Who exactly is pnmi.com and why would I trust that this email is ACTUALLY from Blizzard?
BTW: Wooooooo, I'm going to BlizzCon! Pzzzzt!
Rufio Oct 6th 2010 4:12AM
Haha, that's quite funny!

If you pick up your badge at Thursday, do you still need to be at the centre at 8am to get in on time? And do you pick up the goodie bag together with the badge, or later inside the centre? My first Blizzcon too :-)
anyeight Oct 6th 2010 9:25AM
The badge comes with the grab bag. I would recommend getting there pretty early on Friday morning. The line is crazy. For some reason, the Anaheim Convention Center has hundreds of doors, but only 2 seem to work.
You will have to go through security when you get in. They mainly check for laptops (which are prohibited for general attendees), but they don't seem overly concerned about the sandwich hiding in your pocket. $8 for two slices of turkey and a piece of lettuce.
Anyone know if we can bring in bottled water? I can't find anything on the convention web-site.
Kylinee Oct 8th 2010 8:56AM
You can bring in bottled water as long as it is unopened Anyeight.

Yes, you can still buy the Internet stream. Check blizzcon.com.

I have yet to get my email. I wonder if they are doing this alphabetically.
