It's morning. You wake up in a groggy haze, your mouth tasting like coal and cheap beer. Staggering outside your hut, you rub your eyes in disbelief as you notice something missing. Something large, furry, covered in pieces of barrel and horned. Wait --
Dude, where's my ram?
Another Brewfest has come and gone. Sadly, we'll all have to wait another year for endless rivers of cheap beer, luscious beer meats and hilarious hallucinations. Holidays are always a great chance to mix up your usual routine, so we ask: Were you lucky enough to pull a mount from the cold, dead clutches of Coren Direbrew? Did you get your Brewmaster title? Did you even care?

My main bought the ram back during the first Brewfest. My new main got it on the 2nd year, as well as the kodo. Haven't gotten either to drop for any of my alts since. Been a desolate couple of years. Only nice thing was a tankard which my shaman is enjoying.

I went into this with 5 80's. After 3 years (4 brewfests) my main still does not have either mount or the remote. The humorous and annoying part is that most of my alts got 2 or 3 of the same mounts, and all but one got 2 copies of the remote.
I swear the Blizzard RNG gods hate my main.

I have the worst luck ever, but this year I finally got a mount, the Kodo (which is what I wanted, more rare as alliance) but on my tank alt, not my hunter main. It was the first rare mount I have ever gotten, never got the green proto drake, rivendare's deathcharger etc., so winning this was sweet, even if it was on the alt.
I got the brewfest title on the main last year, got the remote on both toons, got the tankard and shanker on both toons as well this year and last year.

Ever since they switched to the random dungeon finder for the bosses I have yet to get a mount. Before I'd get a mount within the first 3 days of the event, I think because the old way you would kill the boss x times, then everyone would roll on the drop. 5 chances of a drop and 5 chances to roll on said drop = better odds.
I loaded up a druid alt who already has both the ram and kodo and his violet drake, and the first kill he gets ANOTHER kodo. Lame. I fucking hate random drops, it should just be a quest, if you want it bad enough you'll get it.

Got my ram and kodo on my first go! All my guildies were so pissed the rest of the week.

I think 5 drops with 20% chance is pretty close to 1 drop with 100% chance.

2 kodos on my druid, 2 rams on my paladin... sigh. WTB BOA
MrV Oct 5th 2010 6:06PM
4 Rams over 2 characters - but no Kodo :(

"BoA, consumed on use, only usable by level 80s and if the mount hasnt been learned by the end of the event, the item would disapear"
Second that. Start a petition, I'll sign it. Getting a second kodo and remote on one character and not being able to mail them to one of my other 80s is pretty annoying.

Had the title since last year so I was just out for the ram/kodo. Didn't get it. My girl friend got it on her first try. Beginners luck I say.

My wife managed to pull both mounts on her main and one of her alts and the kodo on another alt all without me getting a single one. Luckily the ram dropped last night for my main, averting some serious marital difficulties. Must be some beginner's luck thrown in there (this is the first time she's farmed them and my third). Good luck today.

3 damn brewfests and no mounts so far. I hate rngs. I really, really hate rngs.
Nick S Oct 5th 2010 9:04AM
7 80s, every day, and no mounts.
I did get 12 Tankards, 6 Remotes, and 2 Shankers, though. I ended up just giving Tankards away in trade...

Hey what does RNGS stand for? I've been seeing it everywhere. Is it just Rings without the I I know RNG stands for ranged so I'm kinda confused on this.

RNG="Random Number Generator"
Fourth Brewfest, still no mounts for my main, and I'm still kicking myself for not buying a mount the first year and instead spending the tickets on clothing that's still being offered.
Way to go, Blizzard, for taking the ram out of the vendor just to appease the raiders who griped about having to spend 20 minutes a day to get enough tickets to complete the holiday.

Sadly, it doesn't seem Blizzard even cared. Coren was so easily killed it was a joke, and they didn't give us a new stein for this year. Hell, nothing was changed or updated. I know they're probably busy with Cataclysm and all, but jeez, this is your game, Blizz; take care of it.
Sleutel Oct 5th 2010 8:35AM
Not to mention that they changed the drop method for the mount without thinking about the implications. Previously, if a mount dropped in your group and someone else already had it, that increased your chances of winning it. Now, people who already have the ram or the kodo are getting them in their bags... repeatedly... and deleting them because they can't be trading.
GREAT thinking there, Blizzard.

I was constantly amused by the DBM messages...
Coren Direbrew down after 2 seconds! This is a new record! (old record was 3 seconds)
TheZoravar Oct 5th 2010 8:55AM
I thought as the customers, its kinda meant to be our game :(
noel mcleod Oct 5th 2010 9:40AM
Really! I thought it was awesome, 6 frosts a day, 2 tankards, 2 kodos, a shankers and ALL of the easy drops. I loved it! PLUS I used Coren Direbrew as a training dummy when I dual-specced to add arcane - worst DPS 2100 (stupid tank did 9k - greedy!) and best DPS 5500, which wasn't bad for a single target.
You must REALLy be jaded ... /cry I feel sorry for you.
