As Wrath of the Lich King winds down, I find myself looking back fondly on music videos that feature the striking landscape of Northrend. While I know Cataclysm is going to be awesome, I still find Northrend hauntingly beautiful. While Through the Looking Glass is more a music video than a landscape video, I'll take what I can get.
According to the creator, Through the Looking Glass was an attempt to try out machinima during a boring day at home. Even though this was a first attempt, I think it actually came out beautifully. The song isn't bad, even if it's a little more metal than we usually get around these parts. Still, it's a nice change of pace. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! Have suggestions for machinima we ought to feature? Toss us an email at machinima@wow.com.
Robert Stjärnström's lyrics are a little nasal, and it's tough for a lot of people to get used to. I know it was my only issue with the band for a long time, but I've grown used to it and appreciate its unique flair a lot now :)
Kind of like screamed vocals, really... though saying that has a good chance of getting me downranked.
Visually, this was stunning! I never expected to enjoy these landscape-type videos. I generally like more story but I continue to be impressed by what people can do with sweeping camera-work and minimal effects.
I did turn the music off, sorry. I like some metal but this one didn't appeal. That's ok though because it's still better than most pop music IMHO. :D

I'm So Sick, by Baron Soosdon. Still one of the best machinima's out there. You know, in my remarkably humble opinion. haha.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Nice song! I think it's refreshing compared to the tiresome rap and pop covers we usually get.

Eww, I don't like the vocals. The music itself is awesome though!
I agree with you too, even though it did kinda get monotonous after a while, Northrend had some beautiful landscapes.
More metal/orchestral music would be a good change for the videos you post.

Ugh... crappy music =/.
Just as bad as the rap and pop covers we get.
As for the video itself... I get the impression he's trying to tell a story, or something... but it doesn't really come across...

Machinae Supremacy FTW
Although, I don't think it's their best song =P
Edge and Pearl was amazing.

Finally something other than rap/pop music. If you can even call it music.

I forgive you every pop song you put up!

I do not like metal, but the music is great. A little funny on the vocals, though.
Who else loves Crystalsong Forest?
