Umm, you have Shadow Dance on a 1min CD, applying Garrote shouldn't be
a problem.
Also, don't forget that Vanish is actually a hugely powerful DPS CD
for Sub. The cooldown is lowered via talents + you get Prep. to end
the CD instantly. Coupled with Premeditation, your stealth-only skills
will find more usage than you imagine.
If a sub rogue is ever short on CP-s to refresh Recup. or SnD or
whatnot, you can just blow Vanish (Or prep + Vanish), hit Premed
(possibly macroed into all the finishers so you waste less time),
Shadowstep, and depending on HAT procs, use either Garrote or Ambush
to unload a 5-CP finisher for the energy cost of 1 opener. You're
pretty much guaranteed to be at full energy if you do this, so you can
spam Backstab to get to 5 CP again and do another finisher, perhaps
Recuperate. You can use Shadow Dance while it's ticking to net you a
Shadowstep boosted Garrote and an Ambush again, leading into another
finisher and topping it off with a Premeditation.
I wont do the math now, but it looks like you can have a pretty
ridiculous uptime on Garrote and keeping all those finishers rolling
shouldn't be a problem.
