I'm surprised you didn't write about the most recent Prot Paladin changes. Ghostcrawler literally spent hours this past Sunday night on the forums going back and forth in discussions with Prot Paladins regarding their rotation, interrupts, threat, and a host of other concerns. The discussions were interesting in and of itself just to hear the developers thought process. However, the fact that Ghostcrawler came back the next day saying he had discussed it over with the other developers and decided to make change to the rotation (no more empty GCDs with 3 sec Crusader Strikes), give Prot Paladins an off-GCD interrupt (HoJ, after talents), and have Hamer of the Righteous scale with attack power (so that it does better damage with Vengeance); I believe this information deserved some mention on this site. This isn't the Paladin Wow Insider site, so I don't expect to get my breaking Paladin news to come from here, however, I was expecting a mention of these recent very big changes to the Prot Paladin class in the regularaly scheduled Light and How to Swing It. It's dissapointing not to get your opinion on this. Here's the source for the above changes: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=27026395866&sid=1&pageNo=29#574

I've read them, but it didn't fit with the rest of the article. Moving Hammer of Justice off GCD due to a talent isn't in and there is no estimated date for it to go in. It's something they'd like to do, but it requires them to write some code into the talent/ability part of the game in order to make it work. That might be a couple minutes of coding or an epic rewrite of some functionality in the game. Until that change goes in, we still don't have an off GCD interrupt.

Thanks for responding. I hope once the changes I mentioned are implemented into the game and true numbers can be discerned, you will post an article about the future Prot Paladin rotation (now being coined 939). Not sure if you're keeping up with some of the discussions, and if you are, hopefully its the discussions away from the main forum, but with the new changes, it's been theorycrafted that our Grand Crusader proc (as it currently stands) has become somewhat useless, at least from a threat generation stand point.

Speaking of changes, looks like tanks threat is a heck of an issue. Threat generated buffed again and a 60% increase this time around.

@Obeyfez - I haven't had a chance to run the numbers on it yet. I didn't have any issue with the previous implementation, but a lot of people thought the whole thing felt wrong. I'd rather have more space in my rotation, but that's just me.@Hahahaha Heh, yeah. When those PTR patch notes came out, both Sacco and I were shouting expletives at them going up to 200% threat modifiers. You've got two different issues at work. 1) is that DPS aren't waiting for the tank to get threat on targets. 2) DPS had their threat reduction removed and tanks didn't necessarily get boosted to match the threat that DPS are actually doing.
