BlizzCon store's 48-hour online pre-sale

Blizzard is bypassing this issue by allowing anyone who has purchased a BlizzCon ticket to grab those unique merchandise items ahead of time and online. No fighting over the last murloc head can cozy or Raynor onesie for your child, just simple online transactions with the goods being shipped directly to your home.
This is only for people who have actual tickets to the event. Anyone with a virtual ticket will have to wait until the 13th to get in on their own 48-hour sale. If you don't fall into either of those groups and still want to get in on the swag, then you need to go buy your virtual ticket before 11:50 p.m. Pacific on Oct. 10 to qualify for the sale or you're out of luck.
Heading to BlizzCon 2010? Planning to purchase some souvenirs at the show? From October 9 at 10 a.m. Pacific time until October 11 at 9:59 a.m., BlizzCon 2010 ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase select BlizzCon 2010 store merchandise online (while supplies last). Items purchased through this sale will be shipped directly to your home, giving you more time to take in the panels, tournaments, and other events at the show. To participate, log in to the online Blizzard Store during the sale hours using the Battle.net account provided when you purchased your BlizzCon 2010 ticket (viewable in the buyer's Order History), and head to the More Products section. A second 48-hour sale for BlizzCon Virtual Ticket purchasers will be taking place beginning October 13 -- place your order by October 10 to participate.

What kind of things were sold last year? I am just wondering how worth it is to actively try and look in the store.

Here's the gallery of last year's store:

Hmm the Mosaic soundtrack disk isn't on there. Must have been available on site only. Also they added a pretty sweet Cataclysm t-shirt with Deathwing. It was only available after the xpac was announced.

And the coloring books, too! I guess they have more things available at the con then on the store,...

Why limit it to ppl with tickets and virtual tickets ?
would it not make more business sense to sell this stuff to everyone
who wants it ?
RuzGofDI Oct 7th 2010 8:28PM
Well, last year they didn't sell to the virtual ticket people. You had to be going to the show to be able to buy anything. So it is a little better this year.
But still, the shop at the con had several things that you couldn't buy online. The Starcraft Poker set and the pre-painted vinal figures come to mind.

Not really. Especially since they are making it available to virtual ticket holders, it makes WAY more sense to have it be 'limited'
That way, people who really want to buy have to pay for both the virtual/actual ticket AND whatever they're buying.
And really, the number of people who wouldn't buy the virtual ticket, but would be willing to buy the swag is probably pretty low. If you have spare money, you've probably already got a ticket. If you have more spare money, you can buy stuff. If you don't have spare money, being able to buy the stuff without a ticket to Blizzcon isn't going to suddenly cause you to have spare money to buy stuff.

Err, excuse meh!! I am unable to attend BlizzCon. However, I did purchase the virtual BlizzCon feed!!! I should have access to the store, as well!! Knock, knock...knock!!!
Léona Oct 7th 2010 8:54PM
You'll get access to the store, but just at a later date than people who bought tickets to go to Blizz Con.
Kinda helps if you read the article and/or the blue post.

I'm all for the messenger bag, the art on the Ghost is very beautiful.

Can anyone going see the items from this years store and post them?
JohnnytheFuture Oct 7th 2010 9:52PM
The sale starts on Saturday, but I'll post screens if I can get access. I'm sure WoW Insider will do the same, however.
JohnnytheFuture Oct 7th 2010 9:50PM
For those of us who are going, but are registered on a friend's ticket, will we be able to login and purchase swag?
Or, will I have to bother my friend to log in for me so I can purchase the goods?
Missescake Oct 7th 2010 11:37PM
Wondering the same thing. Does only the actual ticket buyer have access, or do the folks who registered their info for a ticket also get in?
(We haven't received our barcode email yet, that would probably clear up any confusion.)
Saeadame Oct 8th 2010 1:10AM
Well, if your account is still somewhere on the "ticket", then you should be able to use it.. if not, however, you'll probably have to bother your friend.
swalters Oct 8th 2010 10:25AM
Both the blue post and the email state that you must log in to the store using the "Battle.net account provided when you purchased the Blizzcon ticket". If the ticket with your name on it was purchased by your friend under his or her account, then yes, you will have to bother your friend.
Cristiano Oct 8th 2010 12:42AM
Just wondering, if you have a virtual ticket will you be mailed anything else in addition to the order confirmation received for the purchase?
Darky Oct 8th 2010 2:25AM
You mean apart from the pet?
Cristiano Oct 8th 2010 2:29AM
No, sorry I worded my question strangely. I meant that, BlizzCon goers have been getting e-mailed a bar code if they are going to the live convention. I was wondering if virtual ticket holders will be getting anything else in their e-mail, or if the confirmation/purchase receipt we have is all we need to access the merchandise & live feed.
Souvraya Oct 8th 2010 6:01AM
Of course the shop for the live-streamers had to be open while I am away without computer access... No swag for me this year either, then. /sigh
