Very interesting. I will look forward to the back story on this piece. Excellent artwork, the entire video is very compelling and thoughtful. Thank you for such amazing work.

Simply incredible. Really artistic, sort of echoes the Theatre of the Absurd, or possibly the Theatre of Cruelty, for those who know what I'm talking about. Other than that, the artwork/WoW mixture was brilliantly executed, and left me asking more questions than I had been given answers to! Keep this stuff up, Paus!

highlighted letters during the credits spell out, "I am scared"!!

I thought this was phenomenal, and would love to see this same team do a longer story like H.P. Lovecraft's "The Music of Erich Zann" - which I think would lend itself particularly well to their talents.

I too would be interested in the backstory.
This video reminds me of the author Edgar Allen Poe. Very stylized, very hauntingly beautiful.

Intriguing. In the beginning it's almost rather silly, even with its darker undertones, but once that radio turns on, the darker undertones become quite blunt overtones.
Chilling, really. Love that kind of mental twist though. Reminds me of the scp site.

Am I the only one who sees the movie freeze at 1:01?

Stanley Donwood, credited w/ writing, did/does a lot of the artwork for Radiohead.

This is really wonderful in every way. Thank you!
I loved the little touches (pun intended). For example, the two bugs humping on the bed.

W.T.F.
Did the guy kill his abusive, drunken father? And is forever tormented of the guilt. But also, he feels justified by his actions and seeks to regain his lost youth. So, he goes off and plays WoW to escape reality.
At this point he is clearly mad.
Nadia Oct 8th 2010 1:02PM
Or did he go crazy and kill a child?

Exactly 1 year ago, I was visiting Amsterdam and stayed in this creepy old room. 1 year before that, a woman committed suicide in the very room I was staying in.
While trying to sleep in the room, I connected a story I knew to the room I was in. I was excited and got to work. I made several pictures of the room before leaving it behind, never to look back. A few months later I started developing the story in my head and a few months after that I started working on the movie itself.
:)

/bravo
so the background of the movie was actually the pictures you took of that hotel room?
Paus Oct 8th 2010 12:50PM
Yes, the very same. But it was not a hotel room.
Bloodvein Oct 8th 2010 1:26PM
You did an awesome job with that video man! You really nailed it!
lexxroth Oct 8th 2010 5:57PM
Wow that's weird. I loved the movie, and your incorporation of Van Gogh's paintings.

My mind is offiically blown here. Paus, thank you for pushing the limits of Machinima and giving us something so interesting and unique. I bow to you sir! (Or madam)
North Oct 12th 2010 8:23PM
Awesome, that explains the Van Gogh paintings as well.
