I didn't want to complicate the article too much for people not interested in the precise math, but I expect some people to be curious about the HPS formula that Zusterke compares to surface area. It is as follows:"Surface = Height x WidthorThroughput = Crit x HasteThe real math used in theorycrafting is:HPS = Base_HPS x (1+95% Crit) x (1+Haste)See the similarity?""That's how crit and haste work together. The analogy is not entirely accurate in the sense that, for 1 inch in height (with crit) you could get 1.2 inches in width (haste.) So the best balance will be a rectangle, slightly skewed towards haste."
