"This means that if you want more spellpower on your gear, plus other stats, you'll get a better deal out of the secondary-colored gems rather than the primaries."Sorry, Dawn. You get 1 point of spellpower out of every point of intellect; you're seeing the edge cases because you have, at the least, Mysticism, the priest armor mastery, giving you a 5% boost to Intellect (for 5% more spellpower) and quite probably Enlightenment (another +15% Intellect) for being a Disc priest. It's just that you happened on edge cases, I'm afraid.

Thanks, I'll fix this when I get home tonight.

Actually, you must have done that test in Holy; a Disc priest gets either 24 or 24.15 Intellect (depending on whether Enlightenment multiplies or adds to Mysticism) from a Brilliant gem, while a Holy priest gets only 21, while on hybrids Disc gets 12 (or 12.075) while Holy gets 10.5.Well, crud. It only works if you tested the hybrid on Disc and the Brilliant on Holy with the numbers you reported. If that's not the case, something funky is going on. Or you were buffed with Kings/MotW for some of your experimenting; that's another Intellect multiplier.
