Choose My Adventure: Psychopathic Hatchet
Choose the adventures of the WoW Insider staff as we level our characters in <It came from the Blog> on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H).
Spoiler warning: The video above and Robinemia's recap after the break are full of Cataclysm spoilers.
Above is what happens when Choose My Adventure is live (the picture links to the video). See the board with the nail? It was not the most appropriate quest reward for me. Yet the voters chose it because Psychopathic Hatchet was the best name and it wasn't a placeholder graphic. No, it's not a hatchet. It's a board with a nail. But the axe was a staff, so yeah. Anyway, Roblinator the goblin shaman is winning the polls. If you don't like it, go vote. Another Prupher gallery and Robinemia's recap are after the break.
Schedule
Guild notes
<It came from the Blog> is still splitting, even though the guild size cap was raised to 1,000. The new cap will give us some more breathing room, but it still is too small to accommodate all of us and our alts. If you would like to join us, you are welcome. Just contact anyone from <It came from the Blog>, <Blog Lurker> or <The Insiders> and someone will invite you to the appropriate guild for your level.
If you are in the guild, please log on and move your characters to their new guilds, as necessary, if you have not already done so. Our new global chat channel (info is in the Message of the Day) is our new guild chat.
Hopefully, <It came from the Blog> will be under the size cap. The roster should be working regardless, however. So after I kick all of the invisible inactives, we should be. If not, I'll have to start kicking those who are in the wrong guild for their level, so please switch as soon as possible.
Everyone I kick can be invited back, as usual. Only funsuckers are unwelcome.
Recaps
Lisa Poisso as Prupher, the proofreading druid
Prupher and friends strut their stuff in the gallery below.
Robin Torres as Robinemia, the Forsaken huntress
When last we left Robinemia, the beta had crashed on her right after we all discovered that the dastardly 7th Legion was sneaking in and would overwhelm the valiant Forsaken forces in Gilneas.* Here are a few notes:
Please join us on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H) in <It came from the Blog>. Guild ranks of Blog Lurker or above can invite, so /whisper Robiness or any online member. You are all welcome as long as you play by our simple rules -- basically, don't be a funsucker! Visit the guild FAQ for more details.

- Gilneas is a nice place. I think it would look better with some of those nice Forsaken touches that adorn the rest of the zone.*
- Arthura and Commander Belmont join us in our adventurers. One of them doesn't make it. Watch the video to find out which one.
- "We are going to give him a second chance, Robinemia." I love the Forsaken definition of a "second chance." Muahahahaha.
- "Resistance is futile." <insert geek noise here>
- Can't get enough of seeing me carried around by my spine? Me, neither!
- Oops. I think I just spoiled the mystery.
- I guess it's not much of a spoiler that val'kyr are less likely to die than mere mortals.
- Are undead mortal? Hmm.
- Lady Sylvanas again figures prominently in the post-Gilnean adventures.
- One of us! One of us!
- "Better dead than worgen." My sentiments exactly.
- The Ambermill quests have a different story and a different look, but are essentially the same quests recycled. Which is fine. It works.
- Quest hubs in Silverpine Forest continue to be conveniently placed and are complete with flight paths and sometimes portals.
- I needed bags. I couldn't find a bag vendor. Orrak, the druid, brought me bags. Thank you again, Orrak!
- Elemental Servitors were obviously designed with easy cleanup in mind.
- Relios the Relic Keeper really ought to take better care of the relic in his care.
- I really ought to move out of a spawn point before selecting a new talent point.
- There is another quest chain to do the next time Robinemia wins the vote.
- Love this game, I do.

Is Psychopath Hatchet a Juggalo reference?
Drewnami Oct 11th 2010 9:12PM
I don't think it can be anything BUT a Psychopathic Records reference.
Joker Oct 11th 2010 10:13PM
That's one erotic Dolphin!
Joker Oct 11th 2010 10:15PM
Lol, the erotic Dolphin got deleted away.... now i just seem more unstable than normal.
Robin Torres Oct 11th 2010 10:33PM
The questgiver starts contemplating whether or not he's a psychopath, so it's not necessarily a reference.
Also, that really was an interesting dolphin. /eyebrow
ringthree Oct 12th 2010 9:26AM
Robin, it is an obvious musical reference for those that understand the reference. I concur with Drewnami, it would be too incredibly coincidental for it not to be a direct reference. Also given Blizzard's proclivity for such references, to suggest otherwise only means that you lack the proper context to see the relationship.
Robin Torres Oct 12th 2010 9:50AM
@ringthree
You Juggalos are so sensitive!
"not necessarily a reference" does not mean OMIGOD you're wrong! It's not a reference!
I agree with all you Insane Clown Posse fans. It must be a reference. Happy?
But now I'm a little sad. I liked the name on its own. Ah well.
ringthree Oct 12th 2010 10:37AM
Hi Robin. :)
/comfort
Happy indeed.
Excellent work on the site by the way. I barely play WoW at all, but I still enjoy reading your site.
palooka Oct 11th 2010 7:26PM
i dont like de forsaken haters :o, also l like the fire elemental in the screenshots
Xevius Oct 11th 2010 7:29PM
Who could hate the forsaken? they are awesome.
Darky Oct 11th 2010 8:01PM
Them living types, they just don't understand us. :/
NielsdeJONG Oct 12th 2010 1:29PM
I think they started hating you the moment you used
a) Chemical warfare on people because they were different then you
b) Slaughtered countless innocents because they were alive thus according to emo law they would hate you in the end because all the living are like that
c) Keep talking about how misunderstood you are yet at the same time "slaughter everyone who gets in your way" while still demanding sympathy
d) Invade other countries yet still keep talking about how "the Alliance doesn't recognise your rights"
But that might just be me ^^;

Hey robin, I would suggest putting a password on that channel? There have been global channels on my server that have been camped by trolls and when the trolls would get control of the channel, would basically harass everyone in there, kick them out, put a password on the channel, etc. A form of chat-griefing, IMO, but blizzard basically does not care about that type of griefing, so there is basically no recourse if your channel gets controlled by troll.
Robin Torres Oct 11th 2010 8:07PM
There is intermittently a password. Unfortunately, someone has to be on at all times to keep it on or it needs to be reset. If it gets to be a problem, we'll just change it up and add another password. :)
It's just for the three leveling guilds, not the event guild. Events will have their own chat channel.
Nitride Oct 11th 2010 8:09PM
And Thor didnt fall asleep during the fights this time!
Evil Midnight Lurker Oct 11th 2010 8:45PM
They'll make bigger boards, with bigger nails... until one day, they'll make a board with a nail so big it will DESTROY THEM ALL!
Kurtis Oct 11th 2010 9:32PM
It's all fun and games until somebody gets their eye poked in.
Cheyenn Oct 12th 2010 12:12AM
I was in the guild... somehow now I'm not :(

... okay, that went somewhere stranglglgl. I enjoyed your podcasgrrgl, even though I had to watch it not live because the live stream is on at five miuglgulgl AM. It's good to see more of Gilneasuglgluglrrg, and I hope Blizzarggllrg hurry up and finish the female Worgen model so we can see it from the proper side - which is of course that of the Murlocs.
