I like them much more then the old forms but I have to agree with you that it doesn't make too much sense to make such a large model change when they removed perma-tree of life.
Here's hoping moonkin form gets an update.

At least moonkin looks cool and race-specific. What about the generic Aquatic Form that has looked ugly since launch? Or the Travel Form, oh god the Travel Form. Travel Form's hoof icon makes no sense for a cheetah, but I heard they were originally supposed to be stags to match the hoof but they ran out of time and used the cheetah model that's seen all over the game. Imagine a revamp of Travel Form that makes it into a Stag for Night Elves, Gazelle for Tauren, and other hooved things for Trolls and Worgen that would make sense(horses?).

HOW ABOUT SOME CHARACTER MODEL LOVE????? Where are the upgrades for the characters that we see -all the time-. I think it's a waste of resources when they could be updating the horrendous player models from vanilla.

I second the hope for a moonkin change. They're so awkward. I'm constantly reminded of a fat clown in oversized clown shoes, or a bloated diver waddling around in flippers. How is this thing... a graceful natural creature in any shape or form? The constantly gaping mouth/beak makes me think they need an asthma inhaler in one hand, and the vacant stare makes me question this birdbearthing's IQ. There are some elements TO them I like. I find the braded fur that resembles native american decorated skins to be good, and the color schemes are eye pleasing...but the form in general is really bad.

I didn't even spec into ToL.
I'll likely revisit this at 85, but for Wrath...I didn't even see a point in taking it.

100% agree, why bother when it's just a short buff cooldown you get to see for a small window of time? I hope they can do something to fix tree of life, it feels weird seeing healing Druids out of tree form, it's like they lost something unique and feel more generic now.
lol'd hard at the picture, glasses are wrong though! You need those chic rectangular hipster ones with the thick black frames.

@revrant: Because it was incredibly depressing last night shifting into the tree form that everyone in my guild loved and then watch it go away after a few seconds? Not that I thought we needed new models (but then I was happy with the old perma-tree form) - I was hoping they'd give us something like Ancient of War.

No you're wrong. Those glasses are soo last year. The coke-bottle glasses are back.
They're pretty obscure though, you probably haven't heard of the,.

Yeah, I too don't see the point in making such a detailed model for what is essentially just a spell animation now?
