Master RidingThere has been some confusion regarding the purchase of this skill that we'd like to clear up.
If you had a 310% flying mount learned before 4.0.1 went in you should have automatically been granted this skill. Otherwise, if you wish to fly at 310% speed you'll need to learn Master Riding on top of Artisan Riding.
You have not lost your original flight training, both Artisan and Master Riding cost 5000 gold.
All mounts that previously allowed you to fly at 310% have been converted to standard flying mounts, it is your skill that determines your flight speed.
Note: There is currently not an associated achievement with the Master Riding skill.
Missing EnchantmentsThough we do not currently have any updates regarding this matter we are aware of the reported missing enchantments.

Insect SwarmThere is currently an issue with some Druids where your spellbook directs you to visit a trainer to learn the spell. Unfortunately once you get there the trainer indicates that you already know it.

Guild Issues with AuthenticatorThis feature seems to be a little confusing so we wanted to sure everyone was fully aware of the implementation.
In order to enable the Authenticator option for a particular rank, that rank must be empty.
Additionally, in order to promote or invite a member to a rank that requires an Authenticator that member must had the Authenticator attached to their account for 72 hours.

Missing CharactersWe are aware of an issue where some characters are not showing up on the Character Selection screen.
First and foremost know that these characters are not gone, they are simply not being displayed for you. This matter should be addressed with the off-peak restarts scheduled for this morning.

Item Durability StandardizationThere has been some confusion over a change implemented with 4.0.1. In this patch, items that were not previously at 100/100 durability were all set to that maximum. In many cases this meant that if the item previously had, for example, a 60/60 durability it would now be at 60/100.
You did not actually lose durability in these cases, you gained it. In order to reach the new limit of 100/100 you will need to repair your gear but you should not have otherwise lost durability.
The Game Master department will be unable to provide repair cost or other compensation for this change.

Removed from BGWe have received reports in which players are being automatically removed from battlegrounds resulting in a deserter buff.

I haven't checked, but the first place I'd try is Thrallmar or Honor Hold -- the flight trainers there use Orgrimmar or Stormwind rep.

This one is an especially sore spot for me because I would've had it in February if not for the inability of my rogue to score a Sinister Squashling at any point during three years (3!) of full participation in Hallow's End.

I adjusted the UI scale last night - one of the first things I did - but something still seems off.
Eh, I guess I'll just have to get used to it, but I wish the patch hadn't adjusted my prior settings. This is the first time I can recall one doing that.

I've noticed disconnects and bugs on a couple of randoms today, I don't know what Blizzard has done but it looks VERY bad

Is there any news on the alleged Revenge bug? People testing were seeing it show up with negative threat (i.e., Revenge would give you less threat than autoattacking). It wasn't listed in the known issues, so I don't know if that means (a) it was fixed, (b) Blizzard is ignoring it, or (c) it never existed.

I had one of the best bugs happen to me :) After hearthing from the neitherwing ledge I kept my red angry orc form for 12+ hours, Finally i decided I should alert a GM. It was kinda funny, seeing a big bulky shadowy red orc with huge tusks sticking out of my mouth.
And while I'm here I would like to give a shout out to the GM who handled my issue, you were great and helped a whole lot. I cant remember your name but you were awesome, some of the best customer service I have ever had.

Kind of a random thing, but my Bear Druid was not allowed to port out of her random yesterday, with the little green eye, it kept saying "you can't do that when you're dead" when I was very much alive.
Switching to caster form allowed me to port out.
Thought I'd pass the tip along :)

Also, I've noticed a missing Flight Point, on multiple toons. Each time I go to a Flightmaster, my Shadow Vault FP is missing. I've spoken to the Flight master and am able to fly OUT of SV but not into.
And I see an inconsistency betw. Beta mage glyphs and live 4.0.1. While this could be intentional, it seem there are WAAAAY too many major glyphs and not enough of the others. What makes me think this is a mistake is, I see the Fireball glyph as Major and Pyroblast as Prime, yet they pretty much do the same thing for two diff spells.
We'll see if these and other issues get fixed soon.

@zenotho: "For plate wearers this could be a lot of money" - um no, this is the whole point of the change. repairs for all armour is now the same. It's now the same to repair cloth as it os plate. Read the patch notes...

Does anyone know if there ever was any information relating to characters that are below level 10 will be deleted with this new 4.0.1 patch?
One of my baby toons got deleted and I lost the name of the character and I'm pretty annoyed about it since I'm pretty sure I had no warning.
Just wanted to ask if there is any official blue post info about toons being purged, and if anyone else has experienced loss of characters that were low level or any level period. I just wanna know if this was reported or posted by blues and missed by the community somehow, or if this is a bug issue that needs to be reported to restore my toon.

It's a bug. They aren't deleted, they just aren't being shown. It affects characters of all levels.

After logging on and finding that the background downloader had not worked i began to install the new patch. . .
After begining the download and getting the estimated time to completion to be 30 hours!! i left my pc on and got a book out. . .
. . .Had a bath
. .. went to bed
. . . .Got up this morning. . .12% complete. . . Woot :P
Have gone to work , Other half just text me at lunch and says the pc is on 18%. . . . Blizzard are having a laugh!. My Pc is 6 months old and is high spec and the shite downloader is taking all of eternity to complete.
Maybe by the time next weekend has arrived i will be able to play again >_

I lost some titles, but I'm hoping they show back up soon. I figured I'd wait and see if it was reported before opening an issue for such a minor thing.

The missing enchants are still..missing. I got a message from Blizz saying too bad. I find this a really unacceptable way to treat paying clients. They should replace the mats and take our word for it if they can't confirm. It's obviously a real issue. It's a game that should be fun to play and they should not treat us all like criminals out to cheat.
