anyone else not able to change their graphic settings back to ultra? When I try to enable this feature on sun shading and water effects (may not be the correct name..at work) its defaulted to fair and the other options are grayed out.

That means your hardware cannot support it. If you logged in and it was set all to Ultra, once you set it below, it won't let you put it up.Before, it would let you set it to Ultra reguardless. Now, it will limit you to what it thinks your hardware can do.

"Ultr"a post-patch means something different than "ultra" pre-patch. The new "ultra" includes new features that the old "ultra" did not, so, you're not actually having your graphics experience downgraded, you're just no longer at the top of the scale supported by the game now that it supports new features.I have the same problem. I have what was a $550 graphics card when I bought it, which means I can still run most any game with every last graphics feature maxed out and still get a great frame rate, but if they use some new feature graphics card that just didn't exist back then, it can't display that. The simplified sliders in many games simply don't work for me anymore, since they're basically the equivalent of setting every setting to some %, whereas what's best for me is to max everything except a few things that just aren't supported by the hardware and need to be set low. As cards age, you need to either micromanage your video settings, live with performance below your potential, or just throw in the towel and buy a newer card. I'm still in the micromanagement phase, but nearly the point where I throw in the towel...
