a bunch of major addons are dead in the water. Healbot and grid are both nonfunctional; the AH update completely screwed Auctioneer, Titan Panel plugins are totally screwy, and you have to turn off a bunch of Chatter modules to make it even slightly usable.

All that being said, this article is about issues with the game itself, not with add-ons. It runs fairly well, to be honest, with all of them turned off, it's just an alien experience if you've really customized your UI.
