Obligatory "You favour the US" post here.

Obligatory "take it up with AOL and stop spelling favor in a manner that confuses my American mind" post. :P

My enhancement shaman seems to have picked up a lot of Agi/Crit and tends to be pretty decent. My unholy Dk and retadin now suck.
1) Hate the new Holy system
2) Hate how they moved "Pale Horse" out of Unholy and into Frost.
3) Hate how my DK and retadin become very short of health compared to before the patch.
4) Hate the longer cooldown for consecration
TL:DR... wasn't really worth the massive download of the patch for this :(

this was supposed to be a stand alone post.
4.0.1 is messing everything up... ;-)

Responding to Amaxe.
I personally think Death Knights have been insanely buffed. I've read up prior to the release and found unholy's new priority system is pretty sweet. After a while you start to pick up what marginally looks like a rotation and things flow smoothly. I ran a 10man ICC today and found with the new patch in place I was peaking at 14k DPS on the bosses.
As for Frost. WOW! I think the next patch we will need a little nerf. Spamming Howling Blast on trash is unreal. where as single target damage is sufficient and expected.
I think like with all classes you just need to read up and learn the class again. And you'll be rolling.
Also, poor Warriors :(

looks like the rebalancing GC talked about helped. Combining that with switching to dual wielding tankards o' terror, runic power is getting better, though I think the Shadow infusion buff vs the time to build the runic power needs tweaking.
Personally I think Blizz should have used the Maelstrom Weapon mechanic.

Unholy DK's definately don't suck, they're even more imba than before. I've gained 4k health and my DPS output in a random earlier was mental, i pushed 12.3k on Galdarah with only 1 other buff (MotW) so overall definately doesn't suck. It's just a matter of sitting down, finding the right spec, getting the right glyphs and learning to play the class again. Took me an hour or so to get used to integrating Festering Strike and finding that sort of rotation in the priority system. Once you get used to it again you will own. Trust me :P

My reaction? I am not prepared....

AAAAAAAHHHH!!! Everything is different; I'm confused.
My actual reaction.

I went into WSG, ran for the flag, let my mirror images do insane damage, ran out to find a wall of 6 shadow priests all on my side only to have them escort me like actual tanks for the next 2 runs of the flag. I got friggin Iron man achievement in all of 3 minutes. I LOVED IT.
It was fantastic to find that ret paladins were unable to smash me in 3 seconds me like in 3.3.5. The tables were turned. I put on my mana shield, froze him, hit him with a few fire dots and laughed as he ran towards me trying to get his flag back.
The best part is that I was able to take out a melee opponent almost as fast as he was able to do to me in 3.3.5. If he tried harder to stun or slow me it probably would have had a chance but he only tried to Melee. I suppose some damage normalization is in order but it sure is nice to have that extra "bang" in fire spec.

I wrote an article for a general call for submissions a while ago and it's still pending approval, even though the due date was a month ago. What's going on with it? It's entitled "The bottom 1%"
Just curious.

If it's been that long, then you may want to shoot an email to seed@wow.com just to ask if it was rejected or overlooked. If it was a breakfast topic that somehow was never seen, you could always have another chance to resubmit it.
briker Oct 14th 2010 6:48PM
Cutaia - you noob - wow.com is now an aol money grab site. Try wowinsider.com, see if that still works
Henry Oct 14th 2010 6:51PM
Thanks. I did that and got response.
Also, the wow.com emails still work, as noted in today's podcast.

Also noted in the Queue's comment section by Ziebart yesterday:
http://wow.joystiq.com/2010/10/13/the-queue-patch-4-0-1-bonanza/comments/30974752/
One day, I'm sure they'll have to change those, too.

I too submitted an article to the general call for submissions over a month ago and mine is sitting on Pending Approval status as well. Can someone tell us if this is a lack on SEED's part? Or does it take this long for WoW Insider to sift through all the submissions? I already emailed SEED, as (cutaia) suggested. I like the concept, but we should definitely be hearing back before 33 days.
Alex Ziebart Oct 15th 2010 3:57PM
There were a few articles still pending on the open call because... I didn't realize they were there! Lisa and I traded some responsibilities internally in the last few weeks and I didn't notice one of the callouts hadn't been 100% dealt with yet.
If people are still waiting on judgment from the open call from last month, a decision will be made on those in the very near future.

You get 1,000,000 WIN points for the Monty Python reference.
My reaction:
OMG BLARGH THIS IS SO AWSUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You told me to go to Seed, but still... here goes:
"only US.. arrrrwwwwwhhhhhh"

"It's not us, it's AOL. Even though AOL don't force us to use it, they only require us to use it. As such, finding something that isn't glorified beta testing for AOL isn't something we feel like pursuing. Take any feedback to the site with no feedback option."
