I read a lot of desire for a new ranged physical class, and only one person mentioned shadow hunter, I am sad.
I say Shadow Hunter for a few reasons, the first of which isn't mechanical at all, but more a long the lines of how the DK is the dark cousin of the Paladin. Shadow Hunters are effectively voodoo priests, with a bit of head hunting and spirit worship (both nature and death) thrown in, making them in many ways the dark alternative to Shaman. The pally got its evil twin, why not shaman?
Second, their signature weapon is a large throwing glaive. We already have a gun/bow based ranged class, and its obvious from many posts that people want to see one that uses (the much under loved, in my opinion) thrown weapons.
Third, the game needs more voodoo and curses! The witch doctor theme of Shadow Hunters makes them a perfect candidate for heavy use of curse mechanics, either through individual curses that are placed on targets, to large scale, maintained curses that could take a myriad of forms, such as an antithesis to paladin auras (radiation of negative effects) to channeled spells that maintain a powerful debuff on a given target.
Forth, they have the potential for being a 3rd class capable of either melee or ranged damage as their main form of attack, putting them along side shaman and druids.
