Certain mounts and items no longer available in patch 4.0.3

- Swift Zulian Tiger and Swift Razzashi Raptor are no longer available.
- Razzashi Hatchling is no longer available.
- Tome of Polymorph: Turtle will continue to be available through other means.
- Mounts from Trial of the Crusader will no longer be available.
- Reins of the Blue Drake will return to their place as a 10-man rare drop from Malygos. The Azure Drake will continue to be available in 25-man mode as normal.
- Mimiron's Head and Invincible will be rare drops from their respective bosses on hard mode.
As stated in the Under Dev page (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/), patch 4.0.3 brings about The Shattering, a cataclysmic event that will forever change the face of Azeroth. As we prepare to raise the level cap and introduce two new races with the Cataclysm expansion, it's important to keep in mind that the game world is going through tremendous changes that will affect the availability of certain rare mounts and items.
Swift Zulian Tiger
Zul'Gurub is changing from a raid to a leveling zone in 4.0.3, and this mount will no longer be obtainable.
Swift Razzashi Raptor
This mount will also no longer be obtainable after the change to Zul'Gurub.
Razzashi Hatchling
With the change to Zul'Gurub this non-combat pet will no longer be obtainable.
Tome of Polymorph: Turtle
This tome will continue to be available through other means.
Crusader's White/Black Warhorse and Swift Alliance Steed/Swift Horde Wolf
As the attempt-based tribute system is being removed from Heroic Trial of the Crusader, the Argent Crusade Tribute Chest will no longer spawn, and these mounts will no longer be obtainable
Reins of the Blue Drake
This mount will once again be available from defeating 10-player Malygos without needing to use the Dungeon Finder. The Reins of the Azure Drake will only be available on 25-player Malygos.
Mimiron's Head
This mount will change to be a very low drop chance when defeating 25-player Yogg'Saron with no Keepers assisting you .
Invincible
This mount will change to be a very low drop chance when defeating Heroic 25-player Lich King.
Although we have no current plans to introduce new ways to obtain the Zul'Gurub mounts, pets, and the tribute mounts, they may return should we find a place where they fit in the future.

Dang. I have been stockpiling Tomes just incase.
Metatron Oct 15th 2010 2:45AM
You and me both :(
Oh well we can at least try and sell them on the AH to people who don't read WoWInsider.com / Blue Posts.
I still also need my ZG mounts, they won't drop, 150+ kills and counting....
But at least I have my Invincible, Mimiron's Head and A'lar! :))
Metatron Oct 15th 2010 4:13AM
Oh ppl will downrate me cos I have some of the mounts, yeah hates gonna hate
Lukeyo Oct 15th 2010 4:35AM
"Oh well we can at least try and sell them on the AH to people who don't read WoWInsider.com / Blue Posts."
Obviously, you were downvoted because of a shared opinion that scamming people into buying things is totally unrad, man.

What kind of a world are we living in when willful douchebaggery is looked down upon?
Sad times. *sniff*
Redmaw Oct 15th 2010 7:47AM
How exactly is listing items on the AH in the hope that people will buy them a scam?
He is not suggesting that he will be scamming people at all. His idea is no different to people selling any rare drop on the AH.
Phredreeke Oct 15th 2010 8:14AM
Nothing immoral about it, you're providing a service to players who don't want to go on wowwiki and find what vendor sells it, not to mention spending the time to actually travel to the vendor.
QQinsider Oct 15th 2010 9:08AM
@Lukeyo
Your definition of scamming is insulting and idiotic.
Polymorph Turtle is not a required spell in any way, it's a LUXURY, and if people who spend large amounts of gold on luxuries don't bother to investigate it further before purchasing then I have no sympathy.
Maybe you could tells how you feel, from up there on your moral high horse, about all the people that made gold the last few days buying Vanishing Dust from npcs and relisting it on the AH for ridiculous prices. Or the lowbies that make small amounts of gold selling vendor pets on the AH. Or vendor recipes. Fkn scammers the lot of them, right?
N-train Oct 15th 2010 10:37AM
Scam or no scam, I voted him down for his very "nana-nana-na-na" way of announcing that he had all those mounts, as if he was somehow better than all of us for it.
I also voted him down for saying haters gonna hate, cause who the hell says that anymore?
nikdaheratik Oct 15th 2010 11:33AM
Oh yeah, so all those people who are selling vanishing powder at 2g each on the AH right now aren't scamming people. They're providing a "service" for people who don't want to go to the vendor. Puhleeze.
Of course, the real question as to whether you're scamming people or not depends upon how the price you would be offering compares to the price that Blizzard is offering for the same thing. If they make it so you have to pay a few thousand gold, like with the cat spell, and you offer less than that, then you really are offering a "service" but if it's free or very cheap, then you're scamming people.
Veloxe Oct 15th 2010 11:44AM
Well, no where does it say that it will be easy to obtain them. Hell, it could be harder and drive the price up for all we know.
Redmaw Oct 15th 2010 1:10PM
@nickdaheretic
You really have no idea what you are talking about. By your own logic my local bookstore is scamming me because it offers the same book that Amazon does but for £3.00 more.
For it to be a scam the seller would need to make an attempt to deceive the buyer. With the WoW AH this is not possible, I can not add notes to the AH telling people lies to buy my products. If I were to advertise in trade that I was selling a Polymorph tone that will no longer be available (when as we now know it will) then I would be running a scam. As it is merely putting a product on the AH is offering the product for sale.
The price of the product elsewhere in the game is not relevent, if people want something fast and at a premium they use the AH if they want it at cost price then they maker the effort to visit the vendor/farm the goods etc.
Taking advantage of a market is not a scam it is sound business. Scamming involves deceit.
Drahliana Oct 21st 2010 10:43AM
I'd rather have Polymorph Black Cat anyway. although I just might stick to Polymorph Rabbit or Polymorph Woody Allen. :)
Crimson Oct 15th 2010 1:39AM
I guess we only have a bit of time left to try and get the ZG mounts.
I wish everyone attemting to get them the best of luck.
Daniel Oct 17th 2010 11:27PM
Does anyone know what will happen to the ICC frostwyrms and Ulduars drakes?
Angus Oct 15th 2010 8:06AM
Anything not listed stays the same. Those drakes and wyrms are now "just" mounts and no longer bestow 310% speed so there is no reason to change them. Peope essentially had 2 years to get a 310% mount via aid achievements or world events. No one should be complaining.
I do hope they put the Naxx mounts back because of this.
