- Swift Zulian Tiger and Swift Razzashi Raptor are no longer available.
- Razzashi Hatchling is no longer available.
- Tome of Polymorph: Turtle will continue to be available through other means.
- Mounts from Trial of the Crusader will no longer be available.
- Reins of the Blue Drake will return to their place as a 10-man rare drop from Malygos. The Azure Drake will continue to be available in 25-man mode as normal.
- Mimiron's Head and Invincible will be rare drops from their respective bosses on hard mode.
As stated in the Under Dev page (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/), patch 4.0.3 brings about The Shattering, a cataclysmic event that will forever change the face of Azeroth. As we prepare to raise the level cap and introduce two new races with the Cataclysm expansion, it's important to keep in mind that the game world is going through tremendous changes that will affect the availability of certain rare mounts and items.
Swift Zulian Tiger
Zul'Gurub is changing from a raid to a leveling zone in 4.0.3, and this mount will no longer be obtainable.
Swift Razzashi Raptor
This mount will also no longer be obtainable after the change to Zul'Gurub.
Razzashi Hatchling
With the change to Zul'Gurub this non-combat pet will no longer be obtainable.
Tome of Polymorph: Turtle
This tome will continue to be available through other means.
Crusader's White/Black Warhorse and Swift Alliance Steed/Swift Horde Wolf
As the attempt-based tribute system is being removed from Heroic Trial of the Crusader, the Argent Crusade Tribute Chest will no longer spawn, and these mounts will no longer be obtainable
Reins of the Blue Drake
This mount will once again be available from defeating 10-player Malygos without needing to use the Dungeon Finder. The Reins of the Azure Drake will only be available on 25-player Malygos.
Mimiron's Head
This mount will change to be a very low drop chance when defeating 25-player Yogg'Saron with no Keepers assisting you .
Invincible
This mount will change to be a very low drop chance when defeating Heroic 25-player Lich King.
Although we have no current plans to introduce new ways to obtain the Zul'Gurub mounts, pets, and the tribute mounts, they may return should we find a place where they fit in the future.

I always laugh when people talk about having "earned" things like this. You've done more to earn it than most of the people who have it, since they stopped running the instance once they got it, whereas you've kept downing the bosses every few days for however long... but alas, in WoW, the best rewards are never earned. They're awarded by RNG lottery. Skill is nice to have, but luck is what's rewarded most in WoW.

Blizzard should just mail all the players that have played for the last 5 years one of the random mounts for the 6th anniversary that they are removing just to say, " Thanks for making us stupid rich"

I have 2 of the hatchings sitting on my bank alt, waiting for 4.0.3 to drop. I tried selling them for 2.5k each a few weeks ago, and no one wanted to pay, I can't imagine what I'll ask for them in a year.

Tiger was a mount which I wanted since I've started to play WoW!
I'm farming ZG 2 times per week for months by 5 toons and it never drops!

How old are you, talking about quitting just because you can't get this one mount? There are over a hundred mounts in the game to choose from (probably over 150, but a lot of those are faction-only, so anyways), but because you can't get this ONE mount, you're talking about quitting? Seriously?

Essentially what Cyrus elaborated on: if you feel SOOOOOO hard done by, then whoop-de-friggin'-do. So many other things to be had and you're putting a mount skin of all things over all else.
Go, quit. I can guarantee you that if you throw temper tantrums like this while playing an ever-changing game, then nobody will honestly miss you.
By the way, apparently you don't watch 'Futurama', because failed at the reference.

Well aside from all the ZG talk, at least my warrior can proudly ride around on her Blue Drake. My druid has it too, but Swift Flight Form is too convenient to ignore.

At first I was surprised about the Blue Drake being moved again, but then I realized why... Most people come Cata won't waste their time on Wrath heroics, just as most people now don't wast their time on BC heroics... They want to get to the level cap as fast as possible. So moving it back to the raid means that people will still try to get the mount as people still do old raids (at least, a lot more than they do heorics).

Actually, it's more pressing than the fact that people won't be running the lvl 80 heroics at 85. The blue drake can only be accessed through the random heroic feature, and you can only run randoms of your level - at 80 you are running random wotlk heroics with no option to run BC heroics. So it would have become IMPOSSIBLE to acquire in cata, because at 85 you wouldn't have the option to run random wotlk heroics.

Um, yeah, that's kinda what I was getting at. As people don't waste time with BC heroics now at the appropriate level, they won't waste time with Wrath heroics at the appropriate level.
People would rather level to get into the most current content and not lag behind with doing the random heroics.

Oh no. I'm telling you people, just simple random chance isn't good enough. The game needs to give the dedicated players that carrot eventually. Imagine an in-game wishlist you'd add items to. When you add to the list the one item you most want from a particular encounter, you're letting the game know what you're farming. When you're farming an item, there's a chance each time you complete the encounter that the item you're after will be given to you, and that chance increases slightly each time you complete the encounter. Eventually, the chance will build and build to the point that you've proven yourself both deserving of the item and that you're cursed with hideous luck.
So you're put out of your misery and given the dumb mount or axe or whatever purely out of a sense of fairness. You really don't want to put dedicated, patient, paying players in the position of eventually feeling they're wasting their time. Take a look at gambling machines and how they don't rely on pure chance; they're designed to pay out at regular intervals to keep people happy and invested. RNG just isn't fair enough.
Especially when Blizzard takes the Tiger and Raptor out of the game before they drop even though I've been farming them for waaaaay too long already. Those, and the Firey Warhorse, the Blue Proto-Drake, and the Sea Turtle. And assuming one drops next year, I should have to wait two years for at least one Brewfest mount? I've gotten some pretty awesome rare mounts before, don't get me wrong. But I want to collect them all and I don't agree that some of them should take years to get.
