Certain mounts and items no longer available in patch 4.0.3

- Swift Zulian Tiger and Swift Razzashi Raptor are no longer available.
- Razzashi Hatchling is no longer available.
- Tome of Polymorph: Turtle will continue to be available through other means.
- Mounts from Trial of the Crusader will no longer be available.
- Reins of the Blue Drake will return to their place as a 10-man rare drop from Malygos. The Azure Drake will continue to be available in 25-man mode as normal.
- Mimiron's Head and Invincible will be rare drops from their respective bosses on hard mode.

As stated in the Under Dev page (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/), patch 4.0.3 brings about The Shattering, a cataclysmic event that will forever change the face of Azeroth. As we prepare to raise the level cap and introduce two new races with the Cataclysm expansion, it's important to keep in mind that the game world is going through tremendous changes that will affect the availability of certain rare mounts and items.
Swift Zulian Tiger
Zul'Gurub is changing from a raid to a leveling zone in 4.0.3, and this mount will no longer be obtainable.
Swift Razzashi Raptor
This mount will also no longer be obtainable after the change to Zul'Gurub.
Razzashi Hatchling
With the change to Zul'Gurub this non-combat pet will no longer be obtainable.
Tome of Polymorph: Turtle
This tome will continue to be available through other means.
Crusader's White/Black Warhorse and Swift Alliance Steed/Swift Horde Wolf
As the attempt-based tribute system is being removed from Heroic Trial of the Crusader, the Argent Crusade Tribute Chest will no longer spawn, and these mounts will no longer be obtainable
Reins of the Blue Drake
This mount will once again be available from defeating 10-player Malygos without needing to use the Dungeon Finder. The Reins of the Azure Drake will only be available on 25-player Malygos.
Mimiron's Head
This mount will change to be a very low drop chance when defeating 25-player Yogg'Saron with no Keepers assisting you .
Invincible
This mount will change to be a very low drop chance when defeating Heroic 25-player Lich King.
Although we have no current plans to introduce new ways to obtain the Zul'Gurub mounts, pets, and the tribute mounts, they may return should we find a place where they fit in the future.

My mother really wants to hit the Powerball. She farms tickets twice every week and has been doing it for a real long time. The state should just give it to her because she tries so hard and its what she wants most. It's on her list! It's that damn unfair RNG's fault. She should win because she's won some 50/50 drawings before, but she wants to win all the contests.

I have a hatchling in my bags that i got from a recent trip in there. Can i hold onto it and sell it after the raid goes away or will it disappear on me?
SpaceGoatPriest Oct 15th 2010 11:14AM
You can hold on to it. It is not going to be able looted after 4.0.3 (obviously bc the raid wont be there to kill the raptors)

What about the Wintersaber mount?
Cyrus Oct 15th 2010 7:12AM
Still around. Winterspring isn't going to become inaccessible to players - it'll probably change, of course, but it'll still be there, unlike ZG - and they probably wouldn't have added in a Horde counterpart to that as recently as 3.3 (that's when the Un'Goro raptor mount was added, right? It was some recent patch) if they were going to remove one or both of them now.

The Venomhide Ravasaur was added in 3.2 to be specific.

It is sad to see so many things go that people have been trying to get for so long. But I have 114 mounts on my main and thats a DK. I've worked my ass off to get them and while I am upset at this mount fading away I am not sad that I don't have one. It'd be nice sure but the RNG's haven't worked in my favor and I accept that as everyone who doesn't have one should. I mean if everyone had one of these mounts then no one would care. Much like I would love an war bear on my DK from ZA I'll never have it and once 4.0.3 rolls out if I don't have a tiger by then I never will, but I will still have my fond remembrance of ZG and the good times spent in that place smashing things in the face and the memories of actually running the place when it was hard. So cheers to those of you who have gotten it. And for those of us who haven't we've got a few more go rounds till its gone so best of luck to you all.

I would like to know whats happening with the standard Qiraji Battle Tank mounts now that Ahn'Qiraj is turning into a 10man... would be nice if we could finally use the mounts outside of the instance.
BlackTiger™ Oct 15th 2010 7:50AM
Yes, why not? Everyone has own reasons to play WoW. And people are different and have different goals. Proper red tiger is the only mount I really like in entire WoW.
On 2nd place is red dragonhawk which, unfortunately, is not available for alliance, which I prefer to play for.
Chickens and raptors are causing pain is the arse. Kodos are weird. Protodrakes are ugly.
Rest of mounts are just not touching, just "nothing special".
BlackTiger™ Oct 15th 2010 7:55AM
Why just not to move mounts from ZG to ZA?
Scomparsa Oct 15th 2010 9:02AM
Cause that doesn't make sense?
nikdaheratik Oct 15th 2010 11:38AM
Or you could take one of the dozen or so non-red tigers, or get the achievement for the Blue dragonhawk, or wait and see if Blizzard comes up with something cool that you can obtain. I've been wanting to get that goofy Raven Lord mount forever, and I've never seen it on my druid. But in the end, it's just a mount.
Feider Oct 15th 2010 11:43AM
Any word on the [Tome of Polymorph:Pig] that is a quest reward in Ashzara? I have read that the quest giver is still there but has moved or has changed in some way.
Velaxis Oct 15th 2010 8:46AM
I'm really disappointed about the removals and changes, because it seems they're being implemented just for the heck of it, even though the majority of players, cursed by the RNG gods, are still extremely keen to get the ZG mounts and pet. Surely it wouldn't be that hard to move them to another thematically appropriate area of the game, still make them a challenge to get, but at least they'd still be there? As for the hatchling, why can't it become like the other raptor pets and be a chance drop off another raptor type in the area (I'm assuming there will still be raptors dotted about in STV in Cata) or else be gained from a rare spawn nest?
As for the blue/azure drakes, I can't see any mount collectors being able to get teams easily to go for those in Cata. The 10 and 25 man versions of Maly are notoriously disliked by a large proportion of players, and I can't see people (other than the serious mount fan) wanting to go back to them when there will be lots of new shiny raids that they actually enjoy going to. For the dedicated mount collectors, it should be feasible to do 10 man Maly with a reduced number team at level 85, but most people already have the blue drake from Oculus. I was really looking forward to taking the core 'mount collector' team from our guild to 10 man Maly to farm for the azure, once we wouldn't need a full team (impossible to get even now for that raid even when it's the weekly). I think it would have been better to leave those two mounts as they are, with the blue simply becoming a random drop at the end of Oculus rather than in the special reward bag in place at present.
As one person on our guild forum said about this, it's just sad they want to leave certain mounts in the game but take away the pretty ones.
Hyacintha Oct 15th 2010 9:13AM
I think the reason they're moving the blue drake back to 10-man Maly is because right now you can only get it when you get Oculus RANDOMLY. If the dungeon finder stays the same, players would only have a small window of opportunity to queue for random Lich King heroics. By moving it back to Malygos they're actually making it much more obtainable from a level 85 perspective.
Thundrcrackr Oct 15th 2010 9:03AM
Every time they remove a collectible item from the game they remove a reason for me to keep playing it.
Velaxis Oct 15th 2010 9:21AM
I meant that *because* people won't be able to queue for a random Lich King heroic for long, the blue drake would be better placed as a random drop in Oculus, for people who want to farm mounts - and there are a lot of players who do collect them.
Perhaps it varies from server to server, but Maly seems like a no go area on ours, even with the way things stand at the moment. Just seems to me that putting both mounts back into versions of that raid makes it harder, simply because you can't find any enthusiasm among non-mount-fans to go there.
ki Oct 15th 2010 10:30AM
On my server for most people, it is. At least for pugs. Our guild has had no issue with him since our server first, aside from later on the drakes dismounting us randomly at the start of P3. Maly isn't hard, players make him hard but not stacking, counting combo points right, assigning 1/2 drake healers and moving out of the static field. Sometimes I wish people were forced into ToGC, so they could be forced to learn just why standing in stuff is bad. 1 sec deaths in there show who the bads are.
Sintraedrien Oct 15th 2010 10:06AM
And BTW, he's (Adam Eternum) back in Shatt as the Alliance Battlemaster NPC, along with his attack cat.
