Patch 4.0.1 goes all Anzu, all the time

Our own Alex Ziebart, the darkness that dwells in the souls of all, went into heroic Sethekk today and confirmed it. As of right now, Anzu is simply there if you enter the instance on heroic. No need of a druid who has completed or is on the Vanquish the Raven God quest; just walk in and there he is. As of yet, there's no information on the intended nature of this change; it wasn't mentioned in the big mount availability changes post for 4.0.3. As soon as we find out, we'll let you know.

Go into your WoW directory and start the game using Wow.exe. This will bypass the launcher and start the game directly.

Just soloed it on my affliction lock.
Had to get honoured with the Lower City first (was missing like 250 rep).
After that I go in, get all the way to Anzu, barely manage to survive, but still kill him.
And guess what... the mount dropped.
I wasn't all that happy. I prepared for some serious grind and it drops on a first visit?
Doesn't feel like it was hard earned :(((

My main will be camping in front of that entrance until they get the mount, Blizz takes him away, or the end of time. Whichever comes first!

On one hand, that is hands down the most gorgeous land mount in WoW and I've wanted one ever since my little humble lvl 20 self whispered a nelf one day in Stormwind.
On the other hand, there's gotta be a damn catch somewhere. :/ I know your tricks, Blizzard. *rocks back and forth* It's gonna be 'fixed' somehow and soon.

Yep -- the catch is the low drop rate. ;) My brother and I have farmed this w/ his druid for over a year (a few times a week on average, 150+ runs) and we have yet to see it drop.

If they haven't increased the drop rate (and I doubt they did), that would be your catch.

ALSO!!!
Some of the Wrathful Gear is glitched. Currently I could buy all the Weapons and the chest and wrist without the rating requirement. I just need sufficient Honor Points. So yea. GET IT!

The wrathful requirements or lack of are intentional.
The tooltips are incorrect and will be corrected at a later date.

We 2 manned it no problem as a priest/mage combo, so it's not outside the realms of possibility.
Going to try solo mage tommorow.
