Well they completely cleared his room. So you don't even need to worry about clearing. He's the only mob waiting in that room now. I went again with to help a friend today and killed him again, but no mount dropped. So it's definitely not a 100% drop rate.

This is the best thing about this change. That room was always the most annoying to clear in Sethekk. I now like this instance a lot better!
