Was this written before or after the hot patch happened? Any change in feelings if it was written before? I have an alt war and some others that might get some more time if I decide I'm not liking Holy Power.

With my Arms build, the night before the hotfix went through, I couldn't even break 3300 DPS on the heroic dummy. Logged on the morning after the fix and was pushing close to 6k. My Fury spec wasn't pushing quite as hard as my Arms spec, maybe within 500-800 DPS of it, though.
I have never been one of those people who gemmed for ArPen. I've used Strength like warriors should do in the first place, geared accordingly and have never noticed a difference between my raid performance and that of similarly-geared ArPen-stackers. Because of that, I was more than ready for 4.0 and didn't have to regem a single thing and just logged on and went to town.
But as far as performance goes, without access to Colossus Smash, I think Fury's very likely to be standing in second place to Arms for a good while. I've always like Arms better, so I'll not complain here.
So I'd vote to go ahead and pick up your warrior and leave that evil paladin thing alone. :P

Heh, thanks for the comments.
My war atm is Prot and I just started gearing him for Cata(and for something to do, tired of ICC) a few months ago, he still doesnt even have any DPS gear, save a few random drops, I'll probably try to run some content on a few of my toons this weekend so I can actually see how they play versus just poking the dummy.

Ohhh, a tank.
Patch night, I spec'd and queued up for a random as a tank. Got OK. "Oh, goody," I thought. "This is destined to be fun times." I load in and tell the group "Take it easy on me for a few pulls, please, guys? I haven't tanked in months and things look a bit different now." I was met with silence. "Alright," I thought, "they aren't the social type."

Mobs going everywhere before my Charge was even finished. My twitchy fingers hit Thunder Clap just as I got to my Charge target. TC hit 1 target. :-\
So... don't pug with reject DPS who can't begin to comprehend the concept of having a little courtesy for their still-adapting tank's polite requests. If you can get a full group of trustworthy guildies, go for it. Just... don't... PUGs are awful. >:(
