MLG DC starts tonight for WoW

The WoW tournament will only run for a couple hours tonight, then continue all day Sunday. Notable teams competing are Nerdstomper Blue, the winners of MLG Raleigh, and their sister team Nerdstomper Black. Also in attendance are Arenapwnage, Evil Geniuses, Complexity Red and Black, Skill Capped, and Penguin Smash.
Unfortunately, as World of Ming reports, the tournament will not be played with the new 4.0.1 patch. Apparently, there was a conflict with MLG's viewing client and the new patch.

If it were played with 4.0.1 patch it would've been rather short with games and amusing for sure. And such abuse with class choices too.
I'm actually glad its not 4.0.1 so its properly played and not "balanced at 85" lvl 80 pvp.

This, in my opinion, is a major reason why computer-based gaming will never be considered a real "sport." Baseball has never been cancelled because the Bat 4.7 wasn't compatible with ESPN's cameras running a patch behind.

Nah, this is a good thing, lvl 80 4.01 pvp is (naturally) totally screwed up.

Way to scare me. The stream isn't loading for me, and I thought you meant that it was canceled because of rain. I thought 'That's so stupid, just go inside a building!'

I'd have been shocked if they updated to 4.0.1 for this tournament, what with all the class balance issues they've been having, everybody still figuring out how their classes work, not to mention all the bugs they're still working out.

All balance and bug issues aside the patch just came out not even a week ago it wouldn't have been a skill match but who played on 4.0.1 longer, I bet they were looking for anyway to not use it and that's a good thing IMO
