Atonement was broken for quite a while (in Europe, at least). It worked for a few hours on patch day, then broke for the rest of the week. I paged the GMs about it and got a response to say the devs were working on a fix. It was fixed by the weekend so I had chance to have a bit more of a play with it. It's very... interesting. I feel like I *should* be using it, as it's really the major change we've got as Disc priests, but I can't get comfortable with it.
I've tried with both smite glyphs (+hit and +damage) so I'm getting some reliable healing out of it (about 5-8k, ish) but it seems to take about half a second between the smite hitting and the Atonement proc. That feels like a lifetime when you're trying to practise your target prioritisation and don't want to be overhealing the target who's just about to get the proc.
Also, Greater Heal seems to be next to worthless now. It's healing for less than a Flash Heal and takes so much longer. I didn't used to use it often but it used to be so satisfying to get a tank from less than 50% health up to full in one spell.
I haven't tried Holy yet, although I imagine the throughput from PoH chakra must be very useful for phase 3 Prof, etc.
