I'm completely out of witty intros. It's Sunday! Deal with it!
DarkSpade asked:
Was the WoW miniatures game ever officially announced as dead or is it still out there flapping in the breeze? Any chance of it coming back?
The license for the WoW Minis game was originally held by Upper Deck, a company with whom Blizzard no longer does business. Cryptozoic, who picked up the WoW TCG license, did not pick up the Minis license. I think you can probably extrapolate the status of the WoW Minis game from there.
Roht asked:
Is there going to be a Ring of Blood/Amphitheater of Anguish type of thing in Cata?
Yes: the Crucible of Carnage, located in Twilight Highlands. There's also one in Gadgetzan, available at level 46.
Blightmare asked:
I have a question about Wintergrasp's early stages, because I was looking at my Wrath box and when I opened it I was reading all the things you would be able to do in Wrath, one of which jumped out at me. "Engage in aerial dogfights with flying mounts and new gnome engineered planes". Was this in beta but they scrapped it or did it make it to Wrath but they took it out early?
Dogfights were indeed originally in Wintergrasp, but they were removed due to balance and gameplay issues. At least that's what Blizzard said.
Coincidentally, certain testers would just crash the planes into the fortress towers while yelling ... well, I'm sure you can imagine what they would be yelling. No, I'm not making that up. I'm inclined to believe that those guys singlehandedly got flying vehicles removed from the game, no matter what Blizzard says.
Sal asked:
Any chance the War Against the Nightmare will make it into the game in some form?
The major Emerald Nightmare storyline was mostly resolved in the Stormrage novel; however, the book dictates that the remnants of the Nightmare were banished to the portion of the Emerald Dream called the Rift of Aln, which coincidentally is the name of a track on the Cataclysm soundtrack. Intriguing, no?

As I understand it, Ragnaros and crew are only the head honchos of Azeroth's elements, and the elemental planes were prisons created by the Titans so they had somewhere to stuff those annoying troublemakers.
There's not much evidence for Draenor being a Titan project the way Azeroth was, and there's little evidence that the Old Gods were active there, either, despite some relatively recent attempts to summon them. Without the Old Gods, you don't get the huge elemental wars, and without the Titans, you don't get them imprisoned as a way to ends those wars.
I'd also gotten the impression that those big guys at the Throne of Elements were the (equivalent of) elemental lords of what was left of Draenor.

Isn't it true that only gnomes use the word extrapolate?
Moskau Oct 17th 2010 4:20PM
you just used the word, does that make *you* a gnome?
Hob Oct 17th 2010 3:27PM
They're the only ones to use the word unmodified by "extra-".
It's true. Gnomes "polate" all the time.

Is there any word on the Dance Studio ever coming back or is it dead?
Hanak Oct 17th 2010 12:16PM
They've said that it's a work in progress... but also that they only work on it when they don't have anything better to do. So... sometimes 2022 perhaps?
BigBadGooz Oct 17th 2010 1:22PM
dunno why people are downvoting him but yead dont hold your breath for it bud its 3 years progress i believe.
Vladeon Oct 17th 2010 1:31PM
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that people are downvoting him because that is probably the single most asked question of the queue over the past 2 years. So much so that people probably just assume he's trolling if he's asking it here. If you know enough about the game to ask about dance studios, then it stands to reason that you know enough that they're still in production but will probably never be implemented.
Cyno01 Oct 17th 2010 2:35PM
I've said it before and ill say it again, blizz can not implement the dance stuido untill they can find a way to keep people from humping anything and everything in sight. And they cant. Because people will. And that is press blizz does not want. Regardless of the blurb at the end of the T rating that says "Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB.".

They're not holding back dance studios due to ratings restrictions, have you SEEN the way gnomes dance?

In some articles on this site, you mention an additional two slots for bags. Where are they in the beta, as I can't find them.
Derleth Oct 17th 2010 12:30PM
Tailors can make new bags that have two more slots. No word on increasing the size of our backpacks yet.
Calaana Oct 17th 2010 12:34PM
I think the answer you want is "No, you can still only equip 4 bags in addition to the backpack."
malaika Oct 17th 2010 12:48PM
Warlocks and hunters got a (back) an extra bag slot in 4.0.1. Yay!
Boobah Oct 17th 2010 10:01PM
Hunters have had their bag slot back for a while now. I mean, who actually used a quiver by choice after arrow stacks were changed to a thousand each?
Okay, there were those people who used the quiver for the graphic. But that's hardly anything like a majority of hunters.

Do you think there were too many skulls in wotlk?
In the end, I caught myself fighting with a skull sword, shield and armour against a skull boss in a castle made largely out skulls.
Also, I once counted the amount of skulls on the Arthas loading screen: 15.
Just a thought.
