BlizzChat: Community Live! schedule for BlizzCon

BlizzCon 2010 is this week! Along with the regular panels and contests on the convention floor, BlizzCon will be presenting the first ever BlizzChat: Community Live!, an arranged venue for gamers to discuss focused topics relating to the Blizzard games they like to play. These will be taking place on both Friday and Saturday and should give players a fun place to hang out and chat about their favorite topics.
Our primary motivator when hosting each BlizzCon is to provide an epic atmosphere for members of the community to meet up and share their common passion for Blizzard games. In keeping with that tradition, at this year's BlizzCon we'll be facilitating the first-ever BlizzChat: Community Live! Attendees will be given a venue to discuss a number of focused topics pertaining to the Diablo, StarCraft, and Warcraft universes and gameplay. If you're coming to BlizzCon at the Anaheim Convention Center this October 22 and 23, be sure to check out the schedule below. Don't miss the opportunity to share your thoughts on a wide array of subjects with fellow gaming enthusiasts.
BlizzChat: Community Live!
Meet up with fellow Blizzard gamers face-to-face to discuss various topics of interest! BlizzChat will take place in meeting rooms 201A and 201B, located on the second floor of the Convention Center near the top of the escalators.

Orkchop Oct 18th 2010 5:31PM

I wonder if I can show up as a level 1 alt.

Kuroyume Oct 18th 2010 5:32PM
wait... so it's like the forums but in real life?
that's not gonna end well...

Was thinking the same thing. I can see it now, no one from Blizzard will be present and everyone in the room will be calling for a blue post.
I'll have to check one out just to see the outcome but I would much rather hear what the developers have to say since they work on the game. (Sorry if that sounded offensive to anyone, didn't mean to be since Blizzard does listen to forum posters and get ideas from them as well.)

Eh. It's much harder to be a whiny asshat when your face is in punching range of the people you're talking to. It's way harder to get away with online shenanigans in meatspace.

Is anyone going to Blizzcon actually going to go to this?!? I'll tell you, the last thing I'M going to do when I'm there is sit there and post in forums...

"And now, our first speaker, Sephroth. A blood elf paladin from the Thrall server."
"Hi guys. Well, as you know, Blizzard hates us. None of the devs play paladins, in fact they hate paladins, so that's why we all keep getting nerfed. Paladins are a broken class and they've been broken since the game came out. In summary, we have been destroyed even further by the latest patch and we should all quit and go play The Old Republic which will kill WoW."
"Thank you, Sephroth. And now we have...'Frostitute', a human mage from the Lightbringer server."

A message from Blizzard : Hello Paladin community. First of all, we are sorry we took away god mode from all you noobs who rerolled Paladins because they were extremely overpowered. After complaints from some parents that their children were getting keyboard keys stuck up their noses and imprinted on their faces from the faceroll they used to on the keyboard to ROFLstomp all other players. We decided to actually make the class a little challenging to play. Granted it's still our easy poster child class, but we are now encouraging everyone to learn spells and the right time to use them. You will notice that once you take some time out to actually learn how to play, you will appreciate the class again. If not, go reroll a shadow priest.

I like how one of the replies only reinforces the point being made.

I'm lucky to go to Blizzcon this year - where can I meet the wow insider team (not gonna be able to go to the roundup) ? I'd love to stop by and say Howdy!
chilisizzle Oct 18th 2010 5:44PM
I fully support these chats. Maybe I'll get less competition for seats at the panels...
jfofla Oct 18th 2010 6:09PM
Since these panels are upstairs and not on the main floor, I wonder if you need a Blizzcon ticket to get in?

Do we get to list all bugs in 4.0.1 or should be write a book and send them? I guess they won't let you ask about uncomfortable stuff :P
