I enjoyed both of Ms. Golden's books that I've read - "Arthas" and "Lord of the Clans", so it's great to hear such a positive review for this one. Unfortunately, I can't quite justify spending so much to get it in hardback, so I'll have to wait. But it's always good to know I've got a good book waiting for me. ^_^

Amazon sells it the cheapest: http://www.amazon.com/World-Warcraft-Shattering-Prelude-Cataclysm/dp/1416550747/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1287445517&sr=1-3
They also have a Kindle version if you're one of those people who has an eBook reader, or an iDevice that can access the Kindle app.

That is why I love my public library. I read the review, opened a new tab, went to their site, logged in, found the book (it's on order) and placed the first hold on it. As soon as it comes in, I get to read it, and I don't have to pay for it. If I hate it, I've lost only a few seconds of clicking and a tiny bit of gas money going to pick it up. Obviously, I pay tax dollars for the library, but I think I get much more out of it than I put in, and it lets me read books like these that I have no interest in actually purchasing.
If your library doesn't have The Shattering, why don't you ask them to order or inter-library loan it?
