I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on this one. I haven't skipped Stormrage, but on my own reception of Night of the Dragon, I haven't been too bothered about picking it up yet. Arthas on the otherhand, I couldn't put down. It's funny really... A couple of years ago I held the opinion that Knack was the better author, capable of more epic and large-scale writing and that Golden's books were more filler. Since re-reading those books and based on the last few of her works, especially Arthas, I'm ready to revise that opinion. Knack's OK, but he tends to be a little to verbose. I also don't think he's been doing his best work since the WOTA Trilogy (which WAS epic.). Ms Golden on the other hand I thing is building strength on strength. She's got a fantastic finger on the pulse of the major lore characters and writes much more exciting dialogue.I actually got into some of Christie Golden's stuff really early in the 90's with some of her early Voyager novels, which I enjoyed for what they were. She's definitely come strides ahead since then too. Can't wait for this one.
