It would have been nice if they'd mentioned it was going away with the patch. I myself rushed to do it on as many alts as I could since I'm a gnome fan, but a couple alts couldn't get the final battle due to leveling. No huge deal, but oh well.

A friend of mine though, kept catching glitches on the final battle for one reason or another. He had a few alts that didn't complete it for that reason, and he thought he had more time.

And, this video has nothing to do with gnomeregan from what I can tell and totally clashed with my expectations...
