Breakfast Topic: Revenge is a dish best served at the level cap
This Breakfast Topic has been brought to you by Seed, the Aol guest writer program that brings your words to WoW Insider's pages.
Back in vanilla, my then-leveling pally main loved and hated the time she spent questing in Duskwood. Loved because the mood of the zone was great, the quests interesting -- and which paladin doesn't love a place chock-full of undead? That is, except for Mor'ladim.
He was the reason she hated the place. From the first time she died a gruesome death in the clawed hands of the old pile of bones, to the last quests before moving on, she couldn't pass anywhere close to his path without being attacked. Mor'ladim seemed to sense when she was near and make a beeline straight to her. My guildmates at the time joked that he was in love; I said he had a strange way of expressing it. Whatever it was, I vowed to have my revenge.
Fast-forward a few levels and my pally, finally 60, returned for the payback. I killed Mor'ladim many, many times. I offered in general chat to kill him for whomever needed or wanted him. I camped him with gusto, remembering all those repair bills and corpse runs. After Cataclysm arrives, I will surely go back to look for my old enemy and kill him once again, if he's still there. You know, for old times' sake.
Whose pixelated behind did you or will you rush to kick once you gained the power to do it?

Normally I'm not a fan of "first" posts and variants such as inb4, but I have to give you kudos, Kali, for being one minute ahead of Chad's Hogger comment!

Hogger is so overrated and overused.
jenks Oct 20th 2010 8:52AM
every time i pass him by I feel the need to let off an arcane blast

Apologies for hijacking a post here, but I'd just like to mention that I've leveled through Duskwood in the beta (The zones I've done so far are AMAZING btw!), and you won't have to worry. :) Mor'Ladim is still walking around there, surprisingly one of the only mobs with elite status. Also surprising is that there is no quest to kill him. I spose he's just like a wandering patrol kind of mob. Happy revenge! ;)

@thon
That's sad... I guess I'm glad I kept my Story of Morgan Ladimore all this time...
As for me as soon as I hit 60 I went back to Stone Cairn Lake and repeatedly slaughtered all those murlocs that love to come in packs of 5+ while you are searching for that guard's corpse (which I did back when quest objects didn't have the sparkles to make them easier to find)...

Oh good grief man. Hogger!

any elite mob or in the area might as well....Fel reaver felt so so good to solo with the 80 cap...mmm revenge.
Cause i mean cmon anything with a higher level has a larger aggro range :P
Shadowwind Oct 20th 2010 11:05AM
Fel Reaver, and those two abominations in Ghostlands. And yes, I've taken it to the point where I offer in General to help kill them whenever I'm over that way.
Moanamcara Oct 20th 2010 12:12PM
Yes, Fel Reaver!!! Although he lets out that ungodly roar, seems like he always snuck up on me.
Trilynne Oct 20th 2010 12:23PM
this, only I was able to do it at 70. ^^ Yay for pally tanks! :P
GaltShrugged Oct 21st 2010 12:53PM
At 70, I once responded to someone's "Anyone need Fel Reaver?" query in HFP General with something to the effect of "if by 'need' you mean I have a pathological desire to abuse the thing's corpse, then yes, I need Fel Reaver."
I still go and monkeystomp the Fel Reaver from time to time when I'm in Outland.

/agree - Tauren Druid was my first toon. I hated those guys so much I still go out of my way to kill them every chance I get.

@spac3rat
You get my vote, i don't remember my actual level but it was high enough to think I could handle them on my hunter.
I was wrong. /shakesfist!
