I played Warcraft 1, War 2 + exp, War 3 + exp. And I did that in a span of 10+ years. When WoW first came out and I first saw it at my friends house. And he showed me some of the places from these 3 games in the game world. The feeling of "It's alive" was nothing I ever felt before. Finally I was able to live and act in the world of those 3 games that marked my childhood.I'll never forget that.

I never took the opportunity to play the original RTS Warcraft games, unfortunately. But the more I read about the lore of this universe the more I wish I had the experience you did. Seeing a relatively controlled environment essentially come to life must have been quite the rush. I estimate I get a vastly reduced feeling of that when I read a new Warcraft novel and hear about something in game (like the caravan of orcs decimated by Deathwing when he saw them leaving Grim Batol and abandoning his captured enemy, Alexstrasza) and actually going to eastern Wetlands and seeing it in game.
