Right after i had started playing my very first character in Vanilla WoW, (a mage, which i still play today) i remember finishing the Northshire quests and walking into stormwind for the first time. those towering figures standing over the bridge was just epic.
i was at about level 17 when my friend who got me into WoW invited me to do Deadmines with him. just going in there with 5 people and facing off against all those mobs and bosses, especially the ramps going up to the ship and the big goblin shredder, just felt so epic to me. even today in the days of dungeon finders, 5-man content still holds a place in my heart. i can't wait to get a guild group together to take on the rumored difficulty of cata 5-mans.
i never raided in vanilla, but when i got my first taste of raiding in Karazhan, on that same mage, i was hooked. you never quite get over the sight of that huge tower when you're crossing the bridge over the falls in Deadwind pass.
but as far as
