I got no sleep. None. BlizzCon. Today is party. Trying to sleep on plane. Writing this Wednesday, thinking about sleep on plane. Pretty butterflies, where did you come from? I will dance the dance of fire.
No, really, tonight is the WoW Insider reader meetup at the Anabella in Anaheim. Get ready for pretty much the greatest night of WoW nerdity, prizes, fun and everything awesome. If you go to the BlizzCon meetup, I can almost guarantee you'll end the night talking about nerdy WoW crap with people just by finding someone who plays your faction and has an opinion. We all need a code phrase for someone who wants to strike up a conversation.
The secret WoW Insider reader meetup code-phrase is: "Hyjal or Vash'ir?"

You certainly will be able to spend those justice points on gear. Specifically, you will be able to spend justice points on the "previous" tier of gear. When the game launches, the valor point gear will be the first raiding gear, so the first justice point gear will be heroic blues. Personally, I am going to hang on to my justice points to buy key tanking gear for heroics so I can get into those dungeons faster.

I'm suddenly able to equip fist weapons on my enhancement shaman, and not only that, but weapon skill is gone. I looked for patch notes about the disappearance of weapon skill and shaman fist weapons but found nothing. Are these official changes or bugs?
Weapon skill has gone the way of hunter mana and paladin usefulness. Gone. Completely gone. And, really, it should have been gone almost six years ago when the game released. Weapon skill was an old relic of the EverQuest and WoW beta MMO days. Now, it's an antiquated annoyance that just served to stifle players and their equipment.

I always found it was funny that there was a Druid trainer on Azuremyst Isle, but no Rogue trainers.
If it's based on what's nearby, Night Elves can be Rogues, too.

Will we ever get a larger Backpack? I find it a little bizarre that we are now carrying around 22 slot bags while only having a 16 slot Backpack. It'd be nice if there was a questline or something to get it upgraded.

Yaaa....I was 1 skill point away from "Did Someone Order a Knuckle Sandwich" and "Master of Arms" when the servers went down for 4.0.1....if only they'd kept weapon skills a little bit longer... :-J

@ctishman - well, my DK is still a fresh 80, so i didn't actually have much time to get his weapon skills up...unarmed was the last one i needed. of course, i found out AFTER the servers went down that int boosted the speed you learned weapon skills. which explains why it was so easy to do on my balance druid lol... :-J

I know with WOTLK most if not all mobs immunities to certain spell schools (fire elemental immune to fire spells, etc) but there are still a lot in outland and in the old world (I hated doing Dire Maul on my shaman through the LFD tool as my only attack against all the plant mobs was Flame Shock every 5 seconds) anyway will they be removing immunities in cataclysm from the old world? And hopefully outland as well

Blizzard addressed this by adding more spells like frostfire bolt. Starsurge for druids is spellstorm (arcane/nature), and i know shadow priests get a spell that is shadowfrost (shadow and frost). The spell hits based on the lower of the mobs resistence, so if a spriest hits a mob that is immune to shadow, it will use the frost resist of the mob to calculate the damage. Not sure if shaman get any improvement if a mob is resistent to nature damage.

Has anyone noticed the similarities between the Lich King and Santa Claus?
They both reside in the icy north (Icecrown Citadel/North Pole).
They both are the leaders of a group (Scourge/Santa's elves.)
Both of these groups have facilities for producing things (Plagueworks and fleshwerks/Santa's workshop).
There must always be a Lich King and a Santa Claus (according to the movie "The Santa Clause").
