ABx4ABAM is not the 'new' rotation mate- try 'Burn Phase' then 'Mana conservation Phase'
Burn Phase = AB spam followed by using gem and all CD's applicable, then burning your mana and giving your tank heart attacks
Mana conservation phase is using whatever rotation you can to Not lose mana whislt keeping up dps and waiting for your dps cd's to refresh- ABx2/3/4AB AM is used here.
Then when Evok is up return mana to full, pop your dps cd's and away you go again

Im STILL getting 70k AB crits even after the hotpatch, and tend to have about 16k dps over the entire fight- and just to let you know - my gears pre kingslayer stuff - as my guild has not downed him (with me at least) yet.
