is it just me or are there more female cosplayers than male cosplayers? I assume the photographer was unbiased in his/her picture taking.

pretty much... it seems like women are more inclined to take the time and effort to make a costume. that said, some of the best ones from the costume comp were guys; the one who came second (who imo should have come first) went as illidan... and it was pretty amazing. he couldnt even walk without help.

I noticed that too. It seemed like the majority of costume contestants were women. Not complaining! =)

its pretty amazing the people posting hate about fat/ugly girls... take a look through the crowd, let me tell you, there's a bucketload of fat/ugly guys (sorry boys). In all honesty i would have thought more people would be commenting on how there are actually some ATTRACTIVE women... and some fairly amazing costumes. though (unsurprisingly), the best ones were in the costume comp... some straight up amazing ones in there.

Some people will do anything (including mock others) for a quick ego boost, sad to say. In the end they're the ones who look foolish.

I noticed that too carebear. In my opinion Evelinda is no better than the other trolls.
Just appreciate the costumes for what they are, and the people that put the time into making them awesome.

hey, i was just trying to point out the double standard... admittedly, doing so by pointing out that the guys there are ugly too may not have been the best way to go about it. however, i at least didnt suggest that all the unattractive people should have stayed home where no-one could see them.

Anyone else think the girl dressed as Jaina in the 1st and 5th pic (she placed in the costume contest, I think) looks absolutely stunning? Pretty much dead on for how I think a RL Jaina would look too!

She looks way more like Jaina than the girl in the second one who looks like she was trying to get cast in a WoW porno. I guess Jaina could pretty easily conjure up a boob-job and we all know some of the outfits for females in WoW are bizarrely cut...

Wow, that belf paladin (the main image no less) looks GREAT. I can see she put in heaps of effort and it paid off!

She pulled off the entire judgement raiment really well. I only wish she had some kind of huge golden hammer-type mace. The power ranger pose doesn't do the costume justice like a righteous blunt weapon would.
