Well, they've also been in conflicts a lot, and its difficult to imagine that they can't be killed- which means that their numbers must be going down, that way, if not from old age. But I would imagine that eventually all the flesh on their bodies will probably rot off, or their limbs will fall off and get eaten by bears and they'll become useless as soldiers.
