BlizzCon 2010: Of booths and graffiti

The show floor at BlizzCon provides fun each year in the form of interactive areas, vendor booths and large, shiny objects. No sparkle ponies, though ... unfortunately. Check it out in the gallery below. Shiny.

And that lvl15 minimum level requirement will stop pesky kids from abusing it too!

I see a Tales of Symphonia fan made it to the board. Made me smile.

(off topic, but needs to be said)
At this years blizzcon, blizz basically gave a giant middle finger to anyone that plays an alliance character.
This is not a new topic, but one that still deserves attention. Everyone knows that ally racials are less powerful than hordes for PVE. Any theorycrafting site that accounts for racial abilities proves that without a shadow of a doubt.
The most legendary weapon in the game is an ax. Guess who gets bonuses with axes, Orcs. What a shock.
Goblen vs. Worgen racials are yet another example. Hmmm, a free skinning knife, or bank access anywhere. A haste buff, or a crit buff? Haste is far more beneficial.
Prior to the dungeon finder, the horde had more dungeons closer to their main cities...etc, etc. These are the true but old arguments.
I think the comments made at blizzcon go too far though. I mean sure, hate ally all you want internally. Gimp them, make subtle jibes, whatever. But, this?:
"We just need a better battlecry for the alliance, its definitely something we are keeping an eye on, it's just the psychology of the coolness of the horde that makes them more popular, making the allies be proud of them being allies is a thing to solve in the long run."
Hmm, I wonder where the all the ally hatred comes from? If the developers pretty much say, "Your faction is a joke," then of course the mindless masses will follow suit. Make our racials OP. Genuflect on your knees every time our faction leader is mentioned, and maybe the attitude will change. I know metzen voices thrall, but hey guys, he's not really thrall. You can stop openly stroking him.
The real joke is that the horde are supposed to represent the underdogs of the world. The story of underdogs coming out on top due to skill or being more clever is powerful. An underdog that is handed special privileges isn't an underdog anymore. He's like a spoiled rich kid with all the nice toys.
For any that doubt what I'm saying, enjoy the following quotes from blizz:
"The horde curently has two very good battlecry's, can you give some characters somewhere to shout back (alliance)?
"Have mercy!". We've experimented with a amount of battlecry's for the alliance, but none of them match up with "For the Horde!". We'll keep trying to find one. "We'll keep trying" is not the battle cry though. (laughs)"
"Thrall is the most important person on Azeroth, the Garrosh storyline has a lot to do with Thrall. Thrall is a Clark Kent type character who doesn't really know his true strength"

I agree. Blizzard is kind of loving the horde too much. However, some of your points aren't very valid. (I am an alliance player mind you).
The point about dungeons being closer for the horde is not true at all. They got RFC we got stocks. They got WC we got VC(deadmines). Out of all of these, deadmines and stocks are both far better instances, giving better loot and exp respectively.
Also, the Horde were the underdogs in vanilla and TBC. However, the roles have switched. The horde have an immense amount of power, and the alliance are losing power. It's good story-telling, and that's what matters.
And, at least all 5 (soon to be 6, or 8 if u count IF council as 3 leaders) can meet and get along with each other. Have seen how garrosh and the other horde leaders get along? They font trust each other. It's going to be interesting.....

I'm just gonna go through your post and argue all of it.
A pvp trinket is a completely underpowered racial, amirite?
And guess what, there are races besides orcs that can be melee classes on the Horde, too.
Haste definitely isn't more beneficial for all classes/specs.
The thing about the dungeon distance is a moot point now, but you knew that.
The rest of your post is really all just QQ. Learn to take a joke, man.
