Breakfast Topic: What was your favorite moment at BlizzCon?

For me, it's a toss-up between the following, both of them from the general World of Warcraft question-and-answer session yesterday:
- Ghostcrawler's quip about the new alchemy two-person mount in Cataclysm: "Have you heard about the new alchemy mount? It'll be hard to get but fun to see who gets it first. It's awesome ... Who doesn't want to mount their friends?"
- A question came up on faction balance from an Alliance player on a Horde-dominated server, and the developers felt that more needed to be done to make the Alliance "cooler," that the "mythos and psychology" among players had developed to favor the Horde for PvP prospects. As the developers' answers ended, someone in the hall screamed, "Give us Saurfang!"

The Lore Panel was the highlight for me, watching online. I'm a lore junkie so any new tidbits are like crack. There was also a lot of humor, and the running joke about Turalyon that built to include Stromgarde, the Windrunners, Atiesh, and time travel made me LOL every time it came up.
The other highlight was the cinematics panel, how they showed the development of Deathwing's model from the first rough outline sketches through the final product. But then, I'm biased because I'm a huge Deathwing fan.
A small, brief thing, but it was also awesome to see a few glimpses of the world editor in action, how they can raise and flatten terrain, lay down ground textures, move trees, rotate objects, etc. Nothing groundbreaking, but having played with world editors in other games, to see the very familiar world of Azeroth being laid out that way gave me a thrill.

The coverage of the 3v3 arena tournament on the live feed of blizzcon was fantastic. And, it was very strange how the the finals bewtween AAA and Complexity Red went down. Complexity Red were declared the winners but for some reason the time limit of 20 minutes for the arana match was not expired and the teams fought on. Complexity Red got a kill and were declared winners but then the feed was interrupted for a while, they came back and said that at the 20 minute mark AAA was at full health and the last match point was supposed to go to AAA. So they proceeded to have another round and AAA won that one and then they were declared the champs. They interviewed the teams after and some guy in the room was screaming "F*** YOU" to the AAA guys. Which I thought was unfair because both teams played exceptionally well and neither team had anything to be ashamed of. Anyway the whole tourney was awesome to watch and it was exciting to see the game played at that level of competance. One thing that seemed apparent many of the matches dragged on a real long time and it seemed the healers (especially the resto druids) had unlimited supplies of mana. So maybe the move to nerf healing in general is very well though out.

The person asking the question at Blizzcon about more Alliance than Horde obviously doesn't play on Hellscream. The balance issues aren't faction-specific sometimes. There seems to be at least a 3-1 or 5-1 imbalance of more Alliance than Horde on Hellscream.

I loved so many aspects of Blizzcon this year (and I was so sad Saturday evening when I had to leave!). That said, I think my favorite part was watching ComplexityRed win over aAa in the tournament after a FOUR hour match! These guys are just absolutely incredible. I could only hope to be a fraction as good in pvp as they are.

Being told that your artwork is "bitchin'" by Chris Metzen.
I seriously almost fainted.
