For assassination, you still want a fast OH for Deadly Poison. With Improved Poisons, DP has a 50% of being applied on weapon strike. So the faster the weapon, the more strikes you make in a certain period of time, meaning you get your DP stacks up faster you get more procs of IP (as when DP procs when you already have 5 stacks on the target you proc the poison on your other weapon). Since poisons are a much larger portion of an assassination rogue's damage in comparison to Mutilate (even more now post-4.0.1 with mastery and the fact that you don't use Mutilate sub-35%), the benefits of a fast dagger in the OH far outweigh those of a slow dagger.
