Alright, time for me to (for the second time since getting into the Beta) eat my own words.
Do I still think that Worgen not having access to a racial mount is a little unfair, especially to the Alliance-side achievement hunters that are now at a disadvantage to the Horde? Yeah.
That said, I think I can agree that Running Wild looks a lot more appropriate for the Worgen then the pig-thingy seen way-back-when.
Well truth be told, you will still be able to mount on anyone of the dozens of mounts that you could get Alliance side. Blizzard is not so stupid to make a race that players are looking forward to and not allow them to mount a regular mount, how would they get to those high our to reach players in the game world if they couldn't mount a flying mount. and if your worried that there well be a few more for the Horde to grab, then don't there not so stupid to not balance it out by adding a few more choices to the other races to balance it out.
Still, Running Wilde Kicks ass over any old land mount that you could get.
It works out as more than one mount, because there are two levels of riding mounts, regular and fast, and usually 4 or 5 versions at the early level and 3 at the higher level. So it's more like 7 or 8 individual mounts, as far as the achievement.
@zeroum except if im not mistaken the goblins only get 3 mounts rather than 6, so now rather than alliance being slightly ahead in mounts the horde are slightly ahead in mounts.
Prior to this, the factions *were* even mount-wise.
You're thinking back before you could pay to change your character's faction. There was a patch that introduced new mount skins since then so that there could be a one-to-one mapping of mounts.
While I don't particularly like the dance, I think the myriad of bad ass stuff the Worgen have more than makes up for an emote I hardly use.
On that note, seeing a female worgen in game, moving around and doing stuff has me rethinking how much I disliked their appearance. It really isn't all that bad.
From what I can tell, the male snuffle has migrated to the female form, which I'm not sure is intended. If it *is* intended, the sheer frequency might be a bug; male worgen couldn't do anything in the beta without snuffling a few builds ago and Blizzard fixed it.
I've been wondering about worgen flying, they still get those mounts right? Also, worgen are screwed when it comes to the mount collecting achieves or no?
Considering they will have access to every mount that your human/nelf/draenei/gnome/dwarf character can get today, in addition to all of the mounts that will be added in Cataclysm, they are far from "screwed"
I think the animation is superior to anything I have seen so far from Cata. now if they could just tweak that snarl (or at least give us an option for non perma-snarl).

Eh, your disadvantage is by a whole -one- mount. The horde has been behind by one for most of Wrath. I think they figure one isn't a big deal.

Each race got 6 mounts to buy, so it's six mount disavantage if the Worgen don't get any mounts at all.

Yeah, to the best of my knowledge goblins get two mounts. One slow, one fast. No color options. So it's not that big of a deal.
Horde is -1 then you add two and end up +1.
