IB4 pages and pages of raves. The technical work is impressive enough. But ultimately, I think the visceral response some have to this is due more to their identifying with their undead characters than with the merits of the machinima itself-- in other words, to it's fan-service qualities. To me it just says, "Hey, I'm an Undead, now I hate everyone." Yeah, that's me, the eternal party-pooper. Sorry, I can't help it.

Let me clarify, because I don't think I chose my words very carefully. Technically and artistically this is very very good. (The voice-over work starts a little wonky IMO, but quickly recovers itself.) It's visually very appealing, even beautiful. But as with some of Redeye's other work that I've seen (I haven't seen that many of them) it's storyline is too fan-service to appeal to me, a non-horde/non-forsaken character player. YMMV, and the "pages of raves" I anticipate are because it will appeal to lots of players.

That's EXACTLY how I feel about this!Thank you for summing it up so well.

I personally do agree with you on this and that the flow of this movie could be considered a cliche. I feel you actually that your comment is spot on the movie, but remember that there was a 3 minute time limit so the complexity of the movie that we could take it to was very limited. We actually had to cut down A LOT on the first draft of the script. I really appreciate honest feedback with proper backing up so thanks for posting this!

I don't play an undead, but enjoyed the story.I liked that it told such an in depth tale without needing to spell it all out for us; reminiscent of the famous six-word story, "For sale: baby shoes, never used." I didn't get the impression of, "Rawr, forsaken are badass" in the slightest. I saw it as a story of someone losing their humanity in a very sad way.

i'm definitely a horde fan but i don't care for the forsaken much at all. never played one, never planning to, etc. i think choosing to judge it by those terms is a mistake in the first place.you said it's impressive both technically and artistically, and that it's even beautiful. shouldn't that be enough? i get what you're saying but it's not like it's a video of an undead rogue killing a bunch of gnome mages. maybe it's a little fanservicey, but not nearly to the point where only forsaken fanboys can appreciate it.
