What...is your Avatar? Not insinuating that it's a phallus at all. No, honest.
Ikarus Oct 28th 2010 6:32PM
Looks like an eagle/falcon...his name was the first hint. But now at least we know you see penises in random pictures. I'm not sure what that means. Might want to check in to that.

It's penii ikarus...obviously penii.....

I guess it's time to cancel my Amazon pre-order. No reason to buy the standard version any other way than this.
VioletArrows Oct 28th 2010 2:41PM
Not canceling mine from Gamestop. I'd rather wait a few days (and by then it'll be stable) and play Cataclysm for *free*, than to be bashing my face on the keyboard waiting for my turn in realm queue at 3am.
Imogen Oct 28th 2010 2:44PM
Well actually for me the £19.99 compared to £29.99 is a good reason.

It's a no brainer really. Blizzard will want as many players as possible to order digital.. ensures they make the maximum profit.
I wonder what impact this will have on the boxed copy production run. I can't imagine Blizzard will manufacturer the same amount of boxed copies with a digital option.
Sterb Oct 28th 2010 2:59PM
Ah, ok, I'll qualify, there's no reason in the US.
And how exactly do you get Cata for free from Gamestop?
VioletArrows Oct 28th 2010 3:08PM
Gift cards. Lots of them. Pretty much the only thing GS is good for, cause it ain't their tradeins.
Amaxe Oct 28th 2010 3:54PM
Keeping mine as it is... I figure the DL size will be over my threshhold
Drakkenfyre Oct 28th 2010 2:39PM
While I am happy you put it in big bold letters to keep people from freaking out, "It's available now?", 12 mn, eh?
Monocerus Oct 28th 2010 2:56PM
BUYING NOWWWWWWWWW!!
Aigarius Oct 28th 2010 3:19PM
Did you manage to buy it? I am getting "There has been an error processing your request" error with all my credit cards.
omedon666 Oct 28th 2010 4:46PM
Aigarius:
I had the same issue when I used my credit card from my existing list. Inputing the *EXACT SAME* credit card as a "new payment method" then worked for me.
Zef Oct 29th 2010 2:41AM
I got the error and entered a new payment method, using the exact same CC details, and still got an error.
Removed the spaces in my CC number and it went through.

Let's try something. how about a PRICE....
link leads directly to the upgrade, the store does not list it so I would like to see a price before I click all the buttons.
Imogen Oct 28th 2010 2:46PM
You can just follow the links to see the price without buying. It comes up as £29.99 for me.
Korey Oct 28th 2010 2:48PM
Every expansion has been $40 so far, and that's the price of the preorders from everywhere else (for the standard version). I'd assume the Blizzard preorder would be the same.
Noyou Oct 28th 2010 3:56PM
$39.99 USD at gamestop so I would imagine it would be the same for digital. You save on sales tax and leaving the warm confines of your abode.
Cerrena Oct 28th 2010 4:12PM
Blizzard is selling Cat for $39.99 US, my local game store is selling pre-orders for $49.99 Canadian. The dollars are currently trading basically at par. That's looking like a good deal to me.
