I don't sit at the AH 16 hours a day, I sit there for 30 minutes to an hour. Far less time then I spend raiding and pvping. And guess what? I'm more successful that a casual auctioneer because I'm more skilled and knowledgeable than they are. Just like I lose arena matches to better skilled and knowledgeable pvpers. I think there's a worthwhile distinction to be made between "people who use mods and stand on the SW mailbox" and "people who have dedicated accounts and sit online for 16+ hours/day, automatically canceling and re-listing auctions, all without moving". The later are botters and will eventually get themselves banned and have their gold deleted. The first group are simply better prepared than you.
